That's why I work out first thing in the morning. When I get home from work, I'm absolutely wiped.

I just don't buy anything from the concessions anymore at movies. They've always been too expensive. Movies themselves are ridiculous, too. I only went to Coyote vs. ACME because I had free tickets and other movies I try to see on discount 6 dollar Tuesdays. And movies don't even stay in the theater long enough anymore! I miss the days when I would have three months or more to see a movie, and if I missed it I could catch it at the dollar movie, and if I missed that I could just rent it without having to worry about what subscription service it was on. A lot of things were better back then.

I don't think I've ever seen a Castlevania lottery ticket, but last time I was at Round 1 Arcade, they had a Castlevania coin pusher. Konami also had a Power Pro Baseball coin pusher and a light gun game based on Contra.

Yeah when you look at the big picture, I'm still pretty fortunate. I just get discouraged sometimes.

One good thing I have to say is that at age 50, I'm probably in the best shape of my life. There is a gym just two minutes from my house that I walk to every morning and workout for about ah hour. About a month ago I ran into my ex-girlfriend and she said, "Wow, you've gotten buff!" At work nearly every day I do get a a customer asking if I work out or they'll ask more ridiculous things like if I compete in bodybuilding competitions or if I used to be an American Gladiator. I don't think I'm THAT big, but it's nice to hear.

I did see the Coyote vs. ACME movie with my dad and some of my brothers. It was very good. I highly recommend seeing it if you can. the story on how it got to theaters is very interesting.

I never got into the Little Big Planet games, but my brother Jeff sure did! It was fun watching him play and make things.

I also watched him play BioShock! That's a scary game!

The Sonic Transformed racing game is also pretty good.

Right now I'm playing a demo for Final Fantasy Resonance. Man, Square-Enix is hitting it out of the park this yea with games that interest me.

Don't get me wrong, Ocarina of Time is a great game. But honestly I was more excited for the Link's Awakening remake (but then, that IS my favorite Zelda game).

Sea of Stars was very good. But I don't remember if I beat it or not. You know it's a prequel to The Messenger, which was a side scrolling platform hack and slash. Kind of weird.

I wanted to review Big Walk but I didn't have anyone to play it with, so I didn't.

September and most of October are going to be slow months for me. There's a lot of games released, but none of them are interesting to me. There's that Switch 2 version of the new LEGO Batman game, but I don't like the idea of spending 70 bucks on a Game Key Card LEGO game. If I do get it it'll only be because I'm REALLY bored and I'll just consider it a birthday gift to myself. I don't even have anything to review right now. Usually this time of year I'm drowning in reviews.

At least at the end of October I'll have the new Switch 2 Sports Resort game and that HD 2D Final Fantasy game. And then whenever the Zelda Ocarina remake comes out. And that'll be all the games I'm interested in for the rest of the year.

Splatoon Raiders is only on Switch 2. Sorry. :(

I never got around to playing R&C Future. I got pretty far in Ni no Kuni but never beat it. I stopped where I thought it should've ended. Dragon's Crown was pretty great. I'd recommend 3D Dot Game Heroes if you can find it. It was only on the PS3 and never ported anywhere else.

The regular Splatoon games do have single player content, but you'll probably be able to beat them in about 3 to 5 hours, whereas Splatoon Raiders will take you around 20 hours to complete.

I'm not a big fan of online shooters, but I do like Splatoon games. Heck, the first one was my GOTY back in 2015. It's a fun time, even if you lose a match, and you don't have to be good at shooters to enjoy it. Heck, I usually use the paint roller and just roll around covering the field with ink like a Pac-Man game.

It's crazy to me that the 360 is one of my top five favorite consoles, but I never owned an original Xbox , or the Xbox One or X/S. The 360 just hit the right notes for me at the time I guess.

It's a shame that the Backyard Sports game didn't turn out so well. The Backyard Sports games were Humongous Entertainment's most popular series. They're even making a new cartoon of it soon!

I reviewed that Nicktoons baseball game a LONG time ago. I remember it being pretty good.

I got mine at Amazon. Probably tomorrow I'm going to pre-order the games I want for the rest of the year. Which is fine because there's not a whole lot I want. I was able to review Bubsy 4D so look out for my review later in September. So that just leaves the Switch 2 Sports Resort game, the Zelda Ocarina remake, and MAYBE the new LEGO Batman game. And since I liked Adventures of Elliot so much, I will probably get that new Final Fantasy game too. And that's it!

Is it hard to get a physical copy now?

A lot of hardcore Double Dragon fans hated Neon because it took the series in a goofy, humorous direction. But I liked it like that!

I played the original Choplifter a lot on my old Apple ][+ back in the day. I remember reviewing the Choplifter remake. Boy was that hard!

The Wacky Races NES game is famous for being very rare and expensive and hard to get.

Wii Sports Resort is way better than the original. You get a whole island to explore!

It's very obtuse and meant to be that way so arcade goers could share tips and strategies.

The only thing I like about the Splatterhosue remake is that Jim Cummings was the voice of the Terror Mask. All I hear is his Negaduck voice just cursing a lot more!

Oswald kind of made his return debut in those games. Oswald is one of my top five favorite Disney characters and I knew about him way before that game.

There's also a Wacky Races game on the NES. It's a 2-D platformer where you play as Muttley and the bosses are the other racers! I met the guy who did the voice and laugh for Muttley once.

You don't have Wii Sports or Wii Sports Resort? Or any of the Monkey Ball games? They have golf on them.

I doubt it, seeing as it was Japan only. I had never even heard of it until its first release in the US on the Namco Museum vol. 3 collection.

I think I've said this before, but one of the feathers in my game reviewing cap is getting to be on a roundtable discussion with Warren Specter on Epic Mickey! Speaking of which, I just read that Warren Specter just retired.

Everyone hated Wii Music but I loved it. I think it helps if you think of it more of a toy than a game.

I loved that Data East collection. BurgerTime is one of the few arcade games that could pull me away from Pac-Man when I was a kid.

I missed out on Fortune Street, and I didn't even know there was a Wacky Races game on the Switch. I wonder if it's the same as the Dreamcast one? Wacky Races is my favorite Hanna Barbera cartoon.

Super Swing Golf is based on Pangya, an online golf game that very good. I wonder if it's still around?

There are some shooters I like. I enjoyed the other Splatoon games. I also liked the Ratchet and Clank series. Does Mega Man Legends count as a shooter? I liked it anyway. Heck, I even liked Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. I'm actually working on a Splatoon Raiders blog right now. Expect it in about a week or so.

I like the legacy the game left behind. It's interesting how such an influential game was never heard of during the time in the US!

Yeah the proportions of the characters in Dragon's Crown aren't very realistic, but that's OK. It's a video game so let them do that. I just imagine the Amazon ate a can of spinach.
