A Weak Week

I only got one, not quite full, day in this week. I played the following.

Borderlands - I got to level 23 as Roland (soldier with a turret special ability) before getting annoyed at psychos rushing my position constantly while I reload. It seems to happen every time now when I get to The Rust Commons, the third hub area in the game. I did pretty well in the first two hubs though, and I think it was that I put skill points into health, shield regen, and gun damage across three categories instead of dumping everything into the turret special like I usually do. Those small skill boosts really make a difference. I'll be back to it another time.

God of War: Chains of Olympus - I was really enjoying this until I got placed in a room with no exit. I must've tried every wall and object in the room for something to happen but nothing worked. I'll look it up sometime, but not now. Weird.

Resistance 3 - I'm still playing this, and I think I like it better than the first two. I can't really say why yet, but I'm enjoying the endlessly tense situations surrounded by Chimera. Apparently, they are terraforming Earth starting with NYC, turning it into a winter world I think. You team up with an older scientist who claims he knows how to destroy the central tower in NYC, so you attempt to go there, but trouble happens at every step. I like the guns, especially the one that shoots through walls. The more objects you shoot through, the more powerful it gets. It kind of works opposite to your instincts to pop up out of cover to shoot. I'm at the part where you are delivering a Chimera drop ship power core to the Vitol you need to power up to get to NYC.

That's about it. I still have a good number of games for PS3 to get through, but I think I'm about half way done. The Wii awaits.
