After many years of talking about it, it's finally here.

It's my pleasure to present to all of you the latest iteration of PixlBit! It feels unreal to finally be launching this new version of the site - I've spent a lot of hours over the past few months building everything out and getting things in a state to launch. It's particularly unreal to be typing this in the brand new editor and getting this new content posted after such a long dry spell.

Without him, PixlBit wouldn't be the place it is today.

When 1up started the process of shutting down, there was one person who seemed to lead to charge to congregate the community in a single place. After his first visit here, it wasn't long before a slew of new members arrived. The site came alive and the real story of PixlBit began - the one that involves all of you. The person I'm referring to is, of course, Michael Alvarado, otherwise known as Michael117.

Win some of the hottest new releases of the year, thanks to Nerds Without Pants!

Hey folks! I know a lot of people who blog and hang out on PixlBit don’t listen to podcasts, or if they do, they only listen to a handful, and Nerds Without Pants isn’t one of them. Well, I’m looking to change that. How, you ask? By bribery!

A trio of spectacular rhythm games.

PixlBit has just dropped all three reviews for the Persona Dancing: Endless Night Collection. Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight, both of which are releasing soon at $59.99 each have been bundled together, along with a PlayStation 4 port of Persona 4: Dancing All Night for the very reasonable price of $99.99. The trio of games are all fantastic and this article should serve as a quick access point into all of them. Click the box art to go to each of the reviews.

... and here's to 9 more!

It appears PixlBit's anniversary is upon us once again! This time we celebrate the site's final year in the single digits; trucking forward towards a full decade of PixlBit. Looking back, it's been a chaotic and interesting ride full of ups and downs. Over the past few years, I'll admit, it's been generally quiet around here. But with a new year of PixlBit beginning, I feel a renewed drive to push content out to you, our faithful fans and readers. Even in the times where the staff has been quiet, all of you have managed to keep PixlBit afloat with your blogs and comments and strong sense of community. Without you folks, I doubt I'd have the fortitude to continue on after all these years.

Yeah, we're late to the party, I know.

Hey everybody, Nick here. I know PixlBit HQ has been a bit dead lately, but for a while now the site staff and I have had our own private chat and most of our conversations have been insulated to that. A fairly obvious move given the popularity of Discord, was to create a server so that we can invite all of you guys to chat alongside us and enjoy lively events like E3 together. To that point, I've done exactly that.

Not much new at E3 2017, but maybe we didn't need it.

Let’s face it: while Microsoft has plenty of lost ground to make up for, Sony has been sitting pretty since the beginning of the 8th console generation. Even with the waves being made by the Nintendo Switch, there probably isn’t much that Sony needs to do to keep their position in the market secure. So their E3 presentation this year was a deliberate, measured, and comprehensive volley of games, even if there was little to surprise viewers.

Those sure are some pretty looking games...

There is no doubt that Microsoft has had a rough, uphill battle since they first showed the Xbox One at E3 2013. Between a misguided push towards an all-digital future and a higher launch price point than the PlayStation 4, the market penetration that MS had with the Xbox 360 seemed to vanish in just a couple short years. With Sony continuing to win with their console and so much positive feedback on the Nintendo Switch, all eyes were on Microsoft for their E3 2017 press conference. Would their widely hyped Project Scorpio hardware be enough to put them back into competition? Only history will tell, but for now, it may be a case of too little, too late.

Holy crap, PixlBit's now 7!

Well folks, believe it or not, PixlBit turns 7 years old today. Thanks to the hard work of a whole lot of people and all of you fans, we've somehow made it this far. I know some of you have been around from the beginning, others for many years at this point, and I sincerely thank all of you for making PixlBit one of my favorite spots on the internet.

Also, a lot of new hardware announcements.

I think it’s safe to say that the unveiling of the Xbox One a few years ago was one of the most tone-deaf, poorly received debuts of a video game console since, well, Sony commented that people would get a second job to afford their $599 PlayStation 3 all those years ago. Since then, Microsoft has been doing everything in its power to right those wrongs and bring their console up to the user base that the PS4 currently enjoys. This E3 continues that trend and, while there were very few surprises, the Microsoft press conference put the emphasis squarely on exclusive games and community.
