Alright Justin you sold me on Sayonara Wild Hearts. I've been hearing plenty about it in my various podcasts but had no clue what it was. I checked out the video and it definitely seems up my alley.

I COMPLETELY get what you meant when you gets feels when music is in step with the action on screen. I get goosebumps when I'm watching an anime or movie and things get crazy at the moment the music comes to the foreground and everything is in sync. I cant get enough of that.

Stage Select: Justin's Intervention 

Thumper: Its possible hes played this already but I figured I'd suggest it if not. It's not really a horror game. It's a rhythm game with some freaky aspects. It may not come across as such when you're just playing normally but in VR imagine riding that rail dueling with huge monstrosities in a struggle for your life. 

Cage Match: I never cared for Medievil. The game just never seemed to be interesting to me. Maybe because I just didnt care for the protagonist at a glance. Soul Reaver on the other hand looked pretty awesome and the main character was instantly appealing to me. So I'm definitely going Soul Reaver. Undead Vampire beats goofy skeleton man any day. 

I live in Arizona, and being in a midpoint between California and Texas, we've had both In-n-Out and Whataburger for years. I eat whatever strikes me at the time. Whataburger has an advantage of being 24 hours a day, and I work nights on the road, so its nice to be able to get something to eat that late. One local/regional burger chain I'd like to mention is Braum's in Oklahoma. I lived in Oklahoma for a long time. Not only are their burgers good, but they have some of the best ice cream out there. You can get a thick 20 oz shake or malt in any flavor you want for 3 bucks.

The N64 kind of pissed me off. Super Mario 64 was fantastic, Turok and Doom 64 were good, and then...? I will say I didn't love Rare all that much and would have traded them for Square or even Capcom or Namco in a heartbeat. Also, I'm a huge RPG addict, so the N64 was a bit like a steak-lover going to a vegan restaurant in that regard, and the final straw for me and the N64 was when Earthbound 64, one of the only two or three RPGs announced for the system (one of the others, of course, being Quest 64) went into development hell and never got released. Other than the two Zeldas, I was kind of done with the N64. So that's where my rather harsh take on its library came from. To this day the N64 is my least favorite Nintendo TV console. Nintendo EAD had good stuff, Konami had a couple of good games, that was it. I got a PS1. 

Stage Select:

I'm going to offer a classic: The 7th Guest, by Trilobyte. It naturally has some of the hammiest acting you'll ever see, but it was impressive for its time. My parents played it, i kind of dabbled in a few puzzles. I mostly liked the spooky, jazzy soundtrack by George Sanger, aka "The Fat Man."

I'd also go with Haunting Ground. Its death scenes are very unsettling, and the main character was intentionally designed to make you feel helpless without the dog to protect you. 

Cage Match:

Probably Soul Reaver, since it was a bit more aligned with my tastes in gaming. I didn't really play much of either one, though somehow Sir Dan Fortesque's name has stuck in my head. I think they're remaking MediEvil now.

Yea, that story sounds VERY similar to why I completely fell off of the 64. I forgot about the Earthbound thing myself, and I remember that being one of the reasons I wanted one in the first place as I was a fan of the original. And not being a huge 3D platformer guy I just grew to not like that console much.

Also I really wanna try that fast food place now. Give me all your regional fast food chains and I will try them all!

Culver's is another awesome one, from my parents' home land of Wisconsin and I will ditto what San Andreas said about Braum's, which is also a grocery store (or at least the one near my parents' house in south Dallas is). 

Actually, just visit my parents. There is a Whataburger, an In-N-Out, Braum's  and several other regional chain fast food restaurants within a very small radius (no Culver's, sadly).

They do have small grocery areas in most stores I've been in, at least since the 90s, mostly selling beef and dairy products. Braum's won't open any stores that are more than a day's drive from their farms in Tuttle OK and Byars OK, I guess so they can claim their product is fresh. I've actually seen their farms. They actually drove Dairy Queen out of business in Oklahoma for ten years, that's how popular they are there.

Damn. It's like the In-N-Out of Oklahoma!

DQ is another odd case for me because I always thought they were headquartered in Texas due to their "That's what I love about Texas" ads. Was not expecting them to have started in Illinois and be headquartered in Minnesota. 

Yes, Culver's is the one up by me.  
the one thing to be aware of are all the small-scale custard places up in WI.  Kopp's, Ocsar's, Leon's...  there are a bunch of them.  Culver's is the only one to expand out.

Portillo's, while not burgers is actually my preferred limited-service establishment.  

We actually just got a Culver's where I live so I definitely will have to check that out soon. And Portillo's always sounds pretty good. It's a Chicago thing right?

Custard is the big sell at Culvers.  They do market their burgers as butterburgers

I can’t get past the name “butter burgers”, because I always picture a patty of butter between two buns and it grosses me out.

I really think it is a Wisconsin thing.  I know Kopp's throws a pat of butter on their burgers before finishing up assembling.  It's melted by the time you bite into the burger.

If I remember correctly, for Culver's they put a pat of butter on the griddle as they flip the burger over.  Kinda like how In-n-Out mustard fried their animal style patties.

We have Culver's all over Phoenix. I have never tried Culver's.

Have you had a Portillos burger? They are incredible. They have a great flame broiled taste. Five Guys is also getting popular where I live (Northwest Indiana). We have a BurgerHaus which was pricey but pretty good also. 

Schoop's is what I associate with Northwest Indiana, same with Steak 'n Shake.  

Since I no longer live in the far southern suburbs of Chicago, my best option for hotdogs and italian beef is Portillo's.  I may have had a burger there once, but if I want a burger I will go to a custard stand.

It turns out that there are a couple of Portillo's here in Phoenix.

Guess I shouldn't be surprised. A lot of people living here nowadays are Chicago and Detroit transplants. People get all surprised when they hear my family has been in Arizona for almost 100 years.

I love how this thread has just become burger related.

Stage Select:  I don't care how cowardly he is, The Evil Within is fantastic and should be experienced.

Cage Match:  Legacy of Kain:  Soul Reaver  whatever Raziel is is way cooler and edgier than Sir Daniel.

Stage Select: Eternal Darkness, Luigi's Mansion, and Resident Evil 7 VR, in that order. 

Cage Match: I guess MediEvil. Only played the demo, but still played more of it than Soul Reaver and I THINK I'm pulling for the underdog in this match? Hard to tell. 

Fast food: Honestly, I'm gonna throw out that Wendy's is underrated. I never realized how much I'd miss it until the one here in Nacogdoches moved away.

Wendy’s is good shit. We used to order the Farm Burger. You get a Jr. bacon cheeseburger, an order of chicken nuggets, and throw a few nuggets onto the burger, so you have cow, pig, and chicken on the same burger.

Wendy's was my first job. I got a 50% employee discount at lunch and when going home, so I ate a lot of Triple Cheeseburgers and Big Bacon Classics. Surprisingly I wasn't overweight during the entire 2 1/2 years I worked there. I miss the old kaiser buns they used to have for the Big Bacon Classic. 

One time, the shift manager, who is still a friend today, made me a burger with six patties and six pieces of cheese for lunch. And I ate it. He did pay for it since he came up with it.

The first thing I bought with my first Wendy's paycheck was a PS1 to play Final Fantasy VII on.
