Rayman may have recaptured a bit of the limelight on his own with the critically acclaimed Rayman Origins but Ubisoft hasn't forgotten about those rambunctious Rabbids. The publisher announced today Rabbids Rumble, a title coming exclusively to the Nintendo 3DS this November.

Taking a queue from Pokemon, players will take part in various minigames across seven different worlds; the goal being to collect over 100 unique Rabbids and complete their collection. The minigames will utilize the 3DS's unique capabilities, such as the glasses free 3D and the Augmented Reality cards, dubbed Augmented Rabbidity here.

Rabbids Rumble will have both solo and multiplayer modes that will introduce a turn-based combat system. Different Rabbids will have different abilities and "can be trained to become stronger for battles." Using the StreetPass function, new and sometimes rare Rabbids can be available to download, similar to the the trading feature in the Pokémon series.

SAN FRANCISCO, USA — May 31st, 2012 — Today, Ubisoft® announced the development of Rabbids® Rumble exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS™ system. Rabbids have infiltrated the handheld console and will be back to wreaking havoc around every corner in November 2012.

The wacky Rabbids have been let loose throughout seven different worlds and players must battle it out in-game to capture over 100 delirious Rabbids and complete their collection. Rabbids Rumble is full of interactive mini-games that fully utilize the Nintendo 3DS hardware, most notably with 3D and Augmented Rabbidity, where players will interact with the Rabbids like never before. This new experience causes Rabbids to surge from the floor, fly around and even battle it out atop the kitchen table. Rabbids Rumble also features multiple game modes including the solo campaign and multiplayer battles.

For the first time in franchise history, Rabbids Rumble will introduce an accessible and hilarious turn-based combat system. Players will be able to challenge their friends in intense and zany battles, mixing tactics with the Rabbids’ classic wackiness. Each Rabbid comes prepared with unique combat abilities and can be trained to become stronger for battles. Using the StreetPass™ function, new and rare Rabbids will be available to download to enrich each fan’s collection. Fans can also use StreetPass to share scores, gain training bonuses and compete in battles to unlock new Rabbids and items.
