Beginning with Pac-Man Championship Edition DX, releasing on November 17th for XBLA and Novemeber 23rd for PSN, Namco has announced a new line of retro remakes.
Alongside the new Pac-Man revision will be Galaga Legions DX and Aero-Cross, a title Namco bills as a "reimagining" of Metro-Cross, an NES game based on skateboarding, platforming, and the future! For those interested in classic arcade titles and their remakes, Namco also stated they plan to announce future titles in the Generations line in 2011.
I didn't even know the original Galaga Legions had already been released! I'll have to check it out at some point, but I can already say I'll probably pick up the DX version of the game on Chris's PS3 once it makes it out.
You can already get a taste of a (arguably insuperable) reimagining of Metro Cross in Noby Noby Boy. Hold the left analogue stick to the right and press select: a minigame will be unlocked. The music during this minigame is based on the music from Metro Cross. And it's wonderful.
Is Pac-man swallowing a dick in that picture?
It's a Pac-Man guitar, actually.
