GrayHaired has inspired me. I have the MGS HD collection siiting in my backlog, and so I have decided to cross those games off the list. Since these games are not new to me, I plan on playing on the easy difficulty. I have less of a problem replaying these game on easy, because I know that they can easily become a time sink.
My goal is to hopefully beat the 3 games in the hd collection sometime before metro: last light comes out in May. I absolutely loved metro 2033, and cannot wait until the sequel comes out. It is one of the few games that I am truly excited for this year.
I started mgs2 this morning. I was surprised as to how eaily it was for me to get back into the controls of the game. Since it has been a while since I have played mgs2 I was a little worried that it would be difficult to get back into the hang of things. The game plays like a dream, and I cannot wait to get back to it.
Long live the year of the snake.
Good luck! The MGS definitely gives you bang for your buck. I need to pick it up sometime as well but with RE: Revelations and Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor's Edge vying for my attention as well, I don't know where the chips will fall just yet. lol.
RE: revelations is tempting. The last resident evil I played was RE4.
Oh boy!! I haven't really PLAYED a MGS game fully since MGS2 came out. I have MGS3 but I never finished.
Funny enough though, I nabbed both 2 and 3 during the XBL sale a few weeks ago. I attempted to play them but I couldn't remember the controls. I'll jump back into them at some point...
Year Of The Snake! easy is the way to go. I am just now getting the hang of Holding Up a soldier for the dog tags. It took me forever to get that part right....it still doesnt mean I can get them all. I am now playing through MGS2 Japan release.
I had forgotten how much I love these games. Slowly remembering all of the little things like holding up the soldiers, and where to stash the bodies, and that there are pictures in certain lockers.
I really need to get a PS3 and the HD Collection, so I can play through 3 then 4, and replay 1 and 2 when I have the cash. This may be an unpopular opinion, but of the ones I've played (some of 1, which I mostly watched my brother play, all of Twin Snakes and 2), MGS2 is my favorite, partly cause it was the first I played through on my own, partly cause I thought the cutscenes were well done, even if the ending left a few head scratchers when I played it.
I loved mgs2, then I played snake eater.
Seems to be consensus; too bad my older brother was out of the house when it came out, meaning no PS2 in the house any more.
You started right where I did recently in the HD collection. MGS2 has always been one of my favorites. I'm at the point just past the first encounter with Olga on that upper deck of the ship. Looks fantastic on the PS3!
i have been flying through the game so far. trying to get dogtags whenever possible. I am currently taking a break and trying to build up my grip level, just for the heck of it.
By the way,Olga needs to shave her hairy pits! Don't they have razors in Russia? Other than that she is quite lovely I think. I have a good time dumping guards off the side of the ship. Hope they can swim!
those armpits are not something that i need to see in HD.
