Clank Deserted

Hey Bitties,

I made a painting including a character that a couple of people requested -- Secret Agent Clank. For those of you who don't know, Ratchet and Clank is one of my top three franchises. It's possibly my favorite series of video games for all time (depending on where they go from here). Therefore, I knew that I would screw up any type of conventional painting attempt. Instead, I opted to mix some of the themes that I have seen in work with fractals, impressionism and cubism to try to elevate one of my favorite characters, as well as break him down to his fundamental emotion.

That's what I think anyway, but you might think that Clank emits a different kind of emotion than this:

Clank's Emotional Abstract

Glad to have been inspired by a couple of you guys to get back on the grind. I've been doing some work to find myself a muse, because if I do, it will open up the creativity gates.

Hope that you like it, and as always, message me if you want it. What should I paint next?

Paint something about Animal Crossing!

I will! Once I figure out what would be most legitimate, I'll upend whatever I think warrents a painting. What do you think is most timeless about the game?

Great job! I really like the colors that you decided to use. Clank is a great character.

Here.

This was horrifying and gratifying at the same time. I think that I saw my inner, subdued artiste. I always try to paint when I am in a good mood, though outside forces can make it difficult.

You are.

I like this one, it's very different and I've haven't seen anything quite like it, especially in the area of video game related works. I'd like to see things like this where you try to capture the emotion and impression that a certain character gives you. Do you think you'd ever want to do that with environments and game worlds as well? Maybe if there's any games with atmospheres and environment art that speak to you with their colors and texture and make you want to do something similar to this?

Maybe something like New Marais

Question:

Where's Clank?

Sorry for the late reply. Didn't see this until I was about to post a new entry, but he's the circular thing flying with his propeller, just under the blue.
