Why not check in on this online arcade auction just for kicks? Should be going on for a while.

Comment if you see anything cool. Games aren't going cheaply, that's for sure.

They had a Mario Kart GP that went for $1300. Looked like it was in pretty good shape.

whoah.  I wouldn't mind having one of those.

I've never gotten to play one. It sure looks cool.

BTW - They are on item 65 of 1089!

I have been checking in on this auction periodically. They are now to lot 220 of 1089. I have no idea what they do when it's time to go to sleep. I've only ever been to live auctions, which last late into the night, but at this rate this thing could be going through Monday.

Anyway, this is definitely not a place to get a good deal. Prices don't seem crazy high, but a Super Mario cab went for $500 and most of the sitdowns are going for around $1200-$1300. Definitely not the cheap-o project cabs I would want.

It's still interesting to watch, though.

The only thing more depressing than seeing my local arcade close was seeing all the cabinets being sold off for very reasonable prices and still not having the money to get one. As curious as I am to see what is here, it would just be a terrible tease to me, lol.

Well, it appears to have wrapped up. Even though the lot number went to 1089, there were some big gaps in lot numbers later on. Looked like there were some cheaper fixer-uppers later on (which is typical) but nothing that was a super deal. Well, there were tons of Neo Geos that looked pretty good and pretty cheap. You can click on that link and still peruse the prices and lots if you're curious.

crap! my firefox add-ons are blocking practically everything this site posts! Will need to go thru the lock outs individually to get this to work.
