Doubtful, dude. You've put a pretty fine point on how much all of this shit sucks. There's no reason to believe that it's gonna suddenly stop sucking next generation. It's probably gonna look prettier, but it's still gonna slurp away just the same.

And really, even if a miracle happened and suddenly videogames stopped being total shit-suckers, you gotta consider that gamers aren't going to suddenly grow the hell up and stop being insufferable little pieces of shit. I mean, even if they were capable of that sort of growth, this is the internet, where acting like mentally-stunted manchildren isn't just an expectation, it's a pastime. With social features being important cornerstones of both Sony and Microsoft's respective next-gen consoles, I'm not about to increase my exposure to these Cheeto-stained social-rejects. I actually bought one because I love the hardware, but I was just saying, if I didn't own a PS3, 360, Wii, or 3DS, yeah, I would have bought those instead. Plus I bought one just a couple months after launch when people were still making games for it.

Vita isn't that horrible. It does lack new software, but it is a nice upgrade to the psp and psp games off the playstation store look gorgeous on the OLED screen. I only wish PS store would add more JRPGs and PSOne games. Old games really do look really good on Vita. No joke. Looking forward to Dragon's Crown, Ys Celcetta and FF X & X-2.

I agree on its strengths, but it is that horrible. Mostly because I didn't actually say it was a piece of shit, just worse than anything else out on the market. I still love whenever I get to play the thing and really wish Crash Bandicoot was on it.

The only thing I find messed up now is a small but vocal group of people are trying to pass around a petition to get the Xbox 1 changed back to the way it was when it first launched. Granted, some of the original features might have been kind of nice but MOST of the original ideas were complete bullshit. But apparently some people want 24 hour curfews, spy cam survelliance , and an hour check in limit when playing their games at a friend's house. I couldn't be any more excited over WW HD. Fucking love that game. And one of the reasons is I love the goofy NPCs, they're awesome. Wish it was harder, but nothing's perfect. And we both know that RPG comment isn't true man, I know how much you love Demon's Souls and FF XII. Plus pretty sure you don't play Pokemon, the best JRPG out there.
