Darn, does that mean that eye belongs to Shinji Mikami? Eew!

Man, is that a good message to give to kids? I guess video games really are murder simulators.

Going from left to right, top to bottom: Mr. Hot Dog, chef Peter Pepper, Mr. Pickle, Mr. Egg, and Mr. Hot Dog again. Keep those guys off my burger chef Pepper!

If I waited 3000 years for this, it had better be the best game ever made... It wasn't.

Hold the hot dogs, eggs and pickles. No wait... pickles are awesome. Hold those others though.

I reviewed the original Armored Core for the Dallas Morning News back in the day.  It's changed a lot since then.

I love Burgertime.

Konami made the arcade versionof Tutankam.  A roller rink in Alabama I used to go to with my cousin had it for the longest time.

I think I played Two-Tank-Ham on Atari but I never played the arcade game. I found out it was one of the games used for competition at Twin Galaxies back in the eighties. You can see it in this famous Life Magazine photo. I guess it was a good game to go for high scores.

Either those are really big people, or tiny arcade cabinets.

Ha ha! They're probably standing on a platform. But yea, that looks weird.

oh man the colors in that burger time ad are so wonderful.

It had brighter colors than anything in the comic I scanned it from.

I remember the first 2 ads.  The last 2 were probably before I could read. Smile

I started my second childhood in the 21 century reading game mags and comics, so I never saw any of these before now.

While I remember the first two adds, I love the Tutankamen one the most. I love Tut's smirk.

It's a striking ad. I like the font for the title and tag line and the way they are not straight but curved a little bit. That and the foreshortened game box make me think of a close up photograph with a wide angle lens and the way it distorts around the edges. I love that kind of thing.
