Hey guys, I recently aquired a new music program called fl studios 11. It's kind of fucking awesome and lets you do a range of different things. It's professional software, and a lot of famous bands use it.
Anyway, using this program, I made a song. This took a lot of time and effort, in obsessed over this song for about a week, spending most of my days doing it. Oh, and it's called Drowning in Shallow Water. It's kinda creepy. I hope you like it!
Sounds good for a first attempt man.
I'm sure you'd make Snee very proud with this!
Thanks :) it's my first attempt at a full length song without using samples. I slaved over this fucker lol, writing every note!
I've got some shorter stuff too that I might post later, but I don't think they're that great.
Pretty cool, man! I love when the beat drops. NEver messed with this software myself, though I used to use Reason a lot.
What is reason like? FL is pretty awesome. The basic plugins aren't amazing, but there are plenty of free ones that sound decent! Oh, and thanks.
Reason is kind of the same way, with decent plugins but a million that you can download for free and pay. Reason has like different synths and drum machines up top that you can insert, and then down at the bottom is a tracking window. IT's pretty cool, I would definitely recommend it. I just used it to the point that I don't want to use it anymore, but sometimes I miss it.
I tend to think your style would compliment most psychological horror/investigative thriller games quite nicely. This is great, man. Very atmospheric, melancholy, and creepy. Soft and subtle works wonders.
Thanks Ben! I thought the start bit could be used in a game menu lol.
Very great atmosphere. I picture this song fitting in a 2D game with dark scenery and atmosphere.
Thanks man! Yep, I definitely see that, like a metroid style game.
It fits the image you put with it. I keep expecting a jump scare to happen while listening to it... What was that!!! Phew. It was nothing... AHH!!! Alright, now I've got to turn the lights back on.
Lol, no jump scares here!
It added the right atmosphere for one to happen. Luckily it was just something falling over in my closet. I should go check that now...
Lol. Gotta love those moments.
