Fiend Hunting

Probability is not my friend...

Still playing SMT IV while anxiously awaiting the release of Bravely Default. Thought I'd give myself a real challenge and face off against the optional Fiend bosses in the game, but I'm having a predictably rough time getting them to spawn. I read that it's a 1/256 chance, so it's not impossible, only mildly annoying. Although I did manage to get Pokerus in Pokemon X in a relatively short time and that has even higer odds, so maybe it won't be that bad.

Think I found a temporary solution to my TV problem, though typing these very words out could jinx it entirely. It still makes weird noises and the display goes weird occasionally but at least it stays on and doesn't shut itself off as often. Another positive was that it finally gave me the chance to try out Project M with my brother, which we both enjoyed quite a bit. I got a kick out of the little touches here and there that were added to the game, especially having the chance to play as Mewtwo with that cool looking armor it wore briefly in the TV show.

Ok, bye.

Wait, you could play armored Mewtwo in Metroid Other ... oooh, Project M, my bad. Waking up.

Project M... researching... oh cool!

Yeah I knew about the fiend hunting but since the odds of finding a fiend are ridiculous I couldn't stand the thought of running around waiting.

Plus if they are anything like the fiends in Nocturne (some were mandatory) I don't want to fight them.

Yeah, reading about them discouraged me from trying to fight them at first. Even if I don't find one, at least it'll provide a decent distraction from staring at my calendar in a vain attempt to make time move faster.
