So yesterday, I bought a wireless Yobo controller for my Gamecube, since my Nintendo one will only recognize diagonal forward commands, but not straight up, and my mad Catz one decides when it wants to work on its own. I didn't look up reviews or anything, it was just all Game X Change had and it was 20 bucks, which is about what I expected to pay.
I decided to restart Metroid Prime to beat it on hard mode, since the only portion of the gallery I have left to get is the one attained by beating it on hard mode. Also gonna try to get 100% on the same run (I'll have to to beat that damn spider on hard).
I also saw Dawn of Sorrow for DS and grabbed it, so now I have all three DS Castlevanias. Still haven't finished Order of Ecclessia.
I saw Ghost trick for 15 or 16 (w tax) at Gamestop, and wanted to get it, but my cellphone wasn't able to get online and check Amazon to compare price. My friend found out it was a good price for me while I visited Wal Mart next door, but by the time he did, Gamestop was closed. Also gonna try to find Super Mario Sunshine and Resident Evil 4 when I go back today.
Other than that, just have to write an easy paper tonight and continue trying to do things with the station. I've made a list of song I want to remove or replace and the DJs had good suggestions of things to get with my leftover 2009 iTunes gift card money. Apparently, DRM will make it a pain in the ass to get my songs off Apple's software, but there is software (TuneClone) that makes this less of an issue. By the way, fuck them for locking songs I paid for, requiring me to get software or CD-Rs, at least on older versions, to really own what I bought. I still need to figure out how to get all my songs in the same playlist, too.
I also think I need a phone upgrade, might buy a Galaxy phone and use ting.com for the plan if they have good deals on the phone itself. S3's are "old" now, right? Might go with that if they're around or below $200, but I might be stuck with my LG Optimus V that can't charge unless the cord is in the exact position needed and has trouble downloading incoming texts or sending SMS.
Other than that, I'm excited for the Red Hot Chili Peppers at the Super Bowl, and will be rooting for Seattle, simply cause I love rain, remember playing games with Ken Griffy Jr. on the cover, and the city produces a lot of good musical talent (RHCP and Bruno Mars not included, but still, RHCP!!!).
I'm off to do my cardio. See ya'll later!
I saw Ghost Trick of $9.99 at a thrift store before Christmas. I know I should have picked it up but I didn't. :(
A lot of places up here in Canada have the S3 for $0 on a two year plan. The S4 should be available under $200. I know at Bell it's $179 here and can sometimes be picked up for under $100. Go with the S4 if you can.
Just came back from looking at Bell and Rogers (our two biggest carriers) and neither of them are offering the S3 anymore. Likely because the S5 will be coming sometime in the spring.
I feel like I shoulda picked it up last night, but I doubt someone else in the area will nab it. Fingers crossed.
As for S3/S4, I will compare two-year plans, phone prices etc. with what http://phil.ting.com (which is a pay for what you use service that works with phones that have Sprint plans available) has, thank you for the info.
I actually just went and started replaying Sunshine recently. I'm surprised that Gamestop even has any GC games on sale where you're at. They pulled wii and GC games at my local one. However one that is 30 minutes away still has them...I find it odd. So I just buy mine from Amazon or something
They might not, I didn't check. Game X Chnage had GC titles, but only one one I saw and wanted was Wave Race
I had enough trouble beating Prime on normal. In fact, I actually beat Prime 2 before I managed to clear Prime's final boss.
Are we opposites or something. Prime 2 kicked my ass. Only got about half, maybe quarter of the way done with renrtals, cause the dark world really made things difficult.
Resident Evil 4 is such a fantastic game. I put endless hours into it and then got addicted to the Mercenaries mini game. I think it's on Steam if you can't find the Gamecube version. They don't sell Gamecube games at Gamestop over here. Hell. It seems like they are getting rid of PS2 games too. I have no use for that place lol.
Yeah, I know, I think it's on my Wishlist, but I'm waiting for a sale. Strictly speaking, I only buy Steam games below $10 for the most part.
Phonewise, I just picked up the Moto X about two weeks back and really like it. It compares well with the S4 and is generally much cheaper. Mine cost $50 here in PA with a two year contract. Worth a look.
Indeed. Will take a look. Thanks for the info.
I never finished Order of Ecclesia either. I have restarted it a couple of times but never got as far as my initial playthrough.
I finally figured out how to beat the boss that's halfway through (by completing a side quest I'd forgotten about), then realized after I finally beat him I forgot to absorb his whatever thing. Fucking ...
Yea, RHCP. That's cool.
Sucks they only did one song ("Give it Away"), but Bruno Mars is honestly best performance I've seen at Super Bowl, and I'm glad RHCP was there (though I wish roles were reversed).
You'd better go back and get Ghost Trick!
I did.
Ghost Trick is a great game. I really enjoyed it.
I have all the Castlevania games for the DS too. Now I'll looking for all the Castlevania games for the GBA.
Never played those, but EGM was incredibly fond of them. May have to get them myself to play on my game Boy Player.
I finished all of them, but I only own 1. I thought all of them were good.
The Game Boy Player is awesome. I own 2 of them. One for each GC I own.
That reminds me. i need more GC games. still on the fence if I should get the Metroid Prime trilogy on the GC or the Wii.
I wasn't aware the third game was on GCN ... I don't see that the Trilogy is, either.
There probably wasn't. See how far I am on metroid itself! I need to get back into it!
