Thank you Michael! I was feeling guilty for not having any ambition to write anything and just post kitty pics, and now I can post kitty pics guilt-free!

My cat Kaylee is very photogenic, so I have a lot of photos of her.

Kaylee posing with my Dahlov Ipcar art book. Dahlov Ipcar has been one of my favorite artists ever since my first visit to the Portland Museum of Art in 1999 or 2000. Several years later, I asked one of the folkies that I'd been singing with at various get-togethers who had the same last name if they were by any chance related. Yup, he's her son!

Action shot of Kaylee snatching a feather out of the air.

Comfy warm kitty cave under the covers.

Every cat needs a lair, where they can plot the eventual takeover of the world. My mom gave her the clubhouse for Christmas and I put it in the loft, where she can look down on us mere mortals.

Bandit

Bandit was feeling left out. Here he is, practicing his super power - the guilt-inducing stare. He's just had a bath, and there are few things in the world he dislikes more than baths.

Is Kaylee a tuxedo cat? I had a tuxedo cat once.

She's a bikini cat:

aw cute cuddly kittens and wet dogs.  We gave my dog Zach a bath yesterday.  He loved it!  (just kidding  Laughing)

Isn't it funny how they love to play in puddles and splash in lakes, but hate baths?

ha ha, mine don't like the pool either!

You have an adorable cat. She looks so soft!

She's very plush. And she knows she's adorable and uses it to her best advantage. She kind of reminds me of the susuwatari from Studio Ghibli films.

Cute pics. My kitties coming soon to a blog near you.

Looking forward to it.

Cute animal pics! Makes me want another cat. Dogs are great too, but not sure I would have time for the maintenance involved there. Especially since I'd want a puppy.

Kaylee's action feather shot looks a lot like a video game screenshot. Those eyes, those crossed hands ready to slice.

I'm one of those odd people that animal shelters love - I prefer adult cats and dogs to kittens and puppies. I like kittens and puppies fine, other peoples' kittens and puppies.

Bandit's look is priceless. "I really hated that" he seems to say.

Posted on February 22, 2014 11:57 PM

Oh, did he ever hate that! That's his "why are so mean to me?" look. He has it down to an art form.

Aww, nothing wrong with cute animal pics.

Thanks!

Between the panda pics and now your cat and dog, I'm becoming an animal person. The picture of Bandit made me laugh.

He just looked to pathetic and put-upon. As for the pets, they are never boring, but it is like having perpetual toddlers in the house...

Kaylee! She's my favorite, I love that clubhouse your mom bought for her, that's the perfect lair.

Mom actually bought for her cat Ziggy, who is semi-feral and won't go in the house. It had a heated bed in it. He wouldn't use the house, so Mom rigged up a little shelter for him that he would use and gave Kaley the house.

Always thought about photoing my little one's hairless cat but never got around to it. Plus he moves too fast for the camera to get a decent shot.
