yeah I've heard you disparage Dark Souls on Twitter.    It's not for everyone, but if you like the game, you REALLY like it.

I actually just put Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition on my Steam wishlist after thinking it wouldn't be for me, because a trailer involving a dragon convinced me otherwise just now.
