My last few weeks

Hello my darling Pixlbitians,

I've been a little out of sorts the last two or three weeks.

First and foremost my uncle died suddenly yesterday.

He was found dead by his roommate probably from complications of diabetes. Fred was schizophrenic and relied on a nurse to administer his meds including insulin. He had called my other uncle earlier in the day to complain that his nurse had not shown and he felt ill. They told him to go lie down and an hour later he was dead.

In other bad news I've had my car serviced, been told I needed $1000 worth of maintenance that turned out to be slightly less than true and then a week later had my right front wheel almost fall off while on a highway with my wife, son and mother in the car.

The dealership has since called me in to apologize and they fired the guy who told me I needed all that service and reprimanded the mechanic who forgot to put my wheels back on properly.

They also gave me a brand new fully loaded Escape to play with for the next few days and I am going in to barter for a new vehicle. I'll tell you one thing, they'll give me what I want or I'll walk. That being said, this new Escape rocks and I'd really like to keep it.

Anyway, sorry this is mostly crappy news but life isn't always a Cherr of Bowlies.

I'm really sorry to hear about your uncle.  I don't have diabetes but I have the other thing and rely on my mom to administer my meds.  I'm really dependent on her.  I hope his passing wasn't painful.  Frown

that's also terrible about your car.  I'm glad you and your family are safe.

Don't take no crap from those people!  Laughing

Thanks Matt, I hope he went peacefully too.

Sorry for your loss man.

I don't trust mechanics or I should say parts changers. They are not real mechanics. I always double check anything they do. Lugnuts on wheels, oil filter not cross threaded, radiator cap left off, actually put oil in the car. I have actually seen all of these happen.

I hope things lighting up for you. Can't rain all the time.

Shit. Rough stretch indeed for you man. You have my sincere condolences regarding your uncle and I genuinely hope the dealership treats you fairly. I had similar dealership service issues which resulted in my car getting written off last year so I understand somewhat your mindset going in.

I'm sorry for your loss. My dad's mom was paranoid schizophrenic, so I kind of know how tough that can be, though I was too young to know what was going on.

And that whole mechanic escapade reminds me of this Ron White sketch.

Sorry about your uncle. Jason's grandfather passed away on Monday morning in hospice, so we've been dealing with that ourselves.

Ugh! Mechanical failure! I hate that! I'm so glad I have reliable, honest mechanics. I bake them cookies and brownies every once in a while, just to let them know how much I appreciate them.

Sorry to hear about your Uncle :(

I hope things improve for you and Im glad you and your family are safe, thats so scarey, I cant imagine something like that. I hope they give you a great deal, you deserve it after that escapade.

I'm sorry about your uncle.

As for your car, What The Hell! I'm sorry but the dealership that did that should sell you a car for a discounted price because of the actions of their employees. That's terrible and dangerous.

I'm sorry for the late reply, but I'm sorry for your loss and rash a bad luck.

I hope things do get better for you.
