Though the Final Four and Championship game were said to take place in "North Texas" this year, due to AT&T Stadium being in Arlington, TX, the attached concert series, March Madness Music Festival 2014, was very much in Dallas. In fact, it was in the very heart of Dallas in Reunion Park, near where Kennedy was assassinated. I believe I've shared my pictures of the plaza where Kennedy was assassinated on here recently.

This folder includes pictures and video of the festival, including the view from Reunion Park, which includes the outside of Cary Woodham's former employer, The Dallas Morning News, Reunion Tower, the Dallas Omni hotel, the tower of WFAA (ABC) TV, etc., all lit up in the night shots.

It also has pictures of the Social Arena, including arcade machines like Galaga and Ms. Pac-Man, my 2K14 b-ball game of Mavs@Kings (I was Mavs, who I found out via my theScore app beat the Kings in real life that day, 93-91, right as Springsteen's set was starting), comfy leather couches that had to be covered up due to rain, Conan stuff at the fest, the Sports lounge, and more.

But obviously, it does also include pictures and video of Bruce "The Boss" Springsteen and The E-Street Band, with Rage Against the Machine's Tom Morello on guitar and former Late Night with Conan O'Brien drummer Max Weinberg on drums, fun., Pat Green, The Killers, Tim McGraw, and LL Cool J.

Also, some pictures of a jalapeno corn dog I ate. Don't ask.

Note: I was too lazy to go through and properly turn the vertical pictures I took, which for some reason my phone likes to make horizontal.

We'll say I'm only getting around to posting this now in celebration of finding out that I will stay on as the KSAU station manager through summer, as the stipend will pay enough for me to keep my apartment.

Good stuff. Got to see some classic arcade cabinets I have not seen in awhile. Also, your "1st person perspective" of eating a corn dog made me feel right there soaking up the action! Laughing

It really was all about the arcade game and corn dogs. lol

Nah, the music was my favorite part, but the corn dogs; and the not-pictured cheese fries and Greek salad people kept asking me how I got; helped me experience The Experience, man.

I mean, I'm not gonna lie. This is one of the great things about living in the U.S. But we'll just agree to be jealous of each other. lol

Awesome pictures, thanks for sharing!

So that's where the Killer's front man was wearing the UNLV jacket. I saw the picture but didn't connect the dots to the Final Fear

The Reunion area, was that where the former home of the Mavericks Reunion Arena was? Oh and MAX WEINBERG! I miss him on Conan.

It was the home of both the Mavs and Stars, who both now play in the American Airlines Center, which is also where New Years parties are held ans we openly admit every year that we're trying real hard to be New York.

And Final Fear? Were you afraid of the UConn Huskies? Cause no shit, I looked them up to remember their mascot and found a ton of links like this one, which was first on the Google page full of them. WTF?! I didn't even know that wolf meme was about rape, I thought it was simply Insanity Wolf and he said outrageous crap in general ... and looks nothing like the mascot.

And no problem, I love sharing my free-of-charge (minus concessions, gas, etc.) experiences with people. lol

Wow folks thinks Insanity Wolf is the UConn mascot? Talking about jumping to a whole new level of WTF. At first I thought you were talking about how odd the guy in the Husky costume looked, but dang some people just don't get how to use memes.

pics look nice. even the firework ones. But I still have to ask: Why the hot dog?

Posted on June 13, 2014 7:23 PM

I don't remember.

also had I known you were going to be near that damn UConn dog I'd ask if you could've tackled it for me and said to it compliments from NSonic79. They'll know who it is....

I don't remember seeing the mascot, actually. Unless I forgot something.
