Things happened, been happening and are going to happen, so I decided to take the chance and blog.

As the crappy hastly taken recently image shows, I got myself an USB 360 Pad for my PC.
I've been wanting one to play some games that are not very suited for Keyboard like Skullgirls, Psychonauts, Bastion, etc, so when I saw it in a video game store almost near where I live, I decided to get it. Neadless to say, it was a good investement.
I've been playing Skullgirls, Bastion, Sonic CD, Dust: An Elysian Tail and Retro City Rampage with it and I not only are they responsive, but on the case of the first four games, they control much better than with the keyboard and have a better layout. Together with a headset I forgot to mention I got weeks before, they make Steam so much better, and it was already great to begin with.
I also got myself the first Thief game when it was on sale with the reboot and I almost bought it together with the lather, but decided not to just to save some money and the fact that I want to complete Dishonored, which as I know, had Thief as a big influence.

I've never been much of a sports person, but I do like to watch Football/Futbol/Soccer/The Beautiful Game or whatever the hell you want to call it. What i'm especialy fan of is the FIFA World Cup, which is happening right, though I only catch the games of the teams I like the most or find interesting.
However, this recent cup is especial for me because my country Colombia is back again in the competition and better than ever, beating Greece last week and Ivory Coast just today and the most likely chance to get to the next round. I've been going gaga for it over Tumblr.
I think the video above me sums up the beginning of the Steam Summer Sales. My body is ready.... In about 7 days, because I have another trip tomorrow.
I'm going to Prague from the 20th to the 26th of June pretty much to also have a good time and celebrate something I don't think i'll manage to post here, but hope to do it when I return. I'll try to connect to the internet over there in any case, though don't trust me.
See ya!
I need to get Skullgirls, my fighting skills are fadding
Urguay 2-1 England, bloody hell.
Bloody 'ell is right mate. When Rooney scored I thought they were on the rebound but nooooooo.
Sorry about England man.
Skullgirls is excellent, even as noob for fighting games. I think the version you should get the Steam version, especialy now with the Summer Sales.
yeah man that Xbox PC controller is a seriously good investment. I dont' know what I'd do without mine. Have fun with it!
Thanks. Really a great investement indeed.
I have one of those 360 pads too. It's funny that the one for the Xbox 360 is exactly the same as the PC version but there's a 10 dollar difference in price.
I like it for a lot of games but some games won't work with it at all
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver for example. You plug in that pad and set the game up to use the controller and then Raziel runs around all on his own. Omikron Nomad Soul doesn't work either.
Yeah, I know it doesn't work for certain games. When I tried it with Sonic 4, it seemed it didn't have the support, which is weird because Sonic CD has support of it.
The 360 controller is nice. I wish I had 2 of them.
It's a bit thin, but overall it's pretty good.
I love how having a controller and HDMI cable basically turns my laptop into a console when I play games on the TV. Glad you got one of those, it really is better for a lot of games. Unfortunately, I'll likely have to miss that Steam summer sale due to some financial hangups. Ah well.
As an American, I fully support only watching soccer every four years and only if the U.S. is playing. Oh and Clint Dempsey is from Nacogdoches, TX, U.S., which is where I go to college. Awesome.
And if you play it with the Big Picture mode on, it's only enhances the console feeling.
Maybe if you have some money to spare, you can get a game for less than five dollars. Many games are VERY cheap during this time.
I also very much do that with futbol (though i've been seeing some recaps and parts of matches outside the World Cup). Dempsey is from you hometown? Nice!
Technically, I'd say my hometown is Dallas, Nacogdoches is just where I go to college, but it's all great nonetheless.
No fair! You have to play your PC games on a keyboard mouse. No game pads for you! that's the law! Makes all the difference though does it not?
Glad to hear your out and about overseas. Now it's time to make the most of your overseas adventure. Just don't do anything I wouldn't do. And if you do, don't name it after me. HA!
Screw the keyboard, I have gamepad!
Well, I already returned from my trip...
