On this first episode, Joe Step aka Super Step guest stars and we proceed to talk for nearly 3 hours. I had a blast recording this and I hope you enjoy it. I also apologize for any sound issues regarding my mic; I may need to finally replace it.

I'm having difficulty submitting this to iTunes so when that gets settled, I'll update everyone. Fucking iTunes....

Three hours on episode 2? You gotta build up to that, man! We didn't break the Bombcast barrier until 2 years in! I'll have to check it out when I have time.

It wasn't planned that way. Honest! We got so wrapped up in discussion that the time was flying by.

I wonder what you to chatted about that would take up so much time...

A lot.

After several years of podcast listening, and now a large list of podcasts to listen to each week, I'm starting to really appreciate the shorter ones because there's just not enough time to get to everything. If I ever did a podcast I would have it no more than an hour and possibly shorter, like 45 minutes. Big Red Barrel's podcasts are kept strictly at 45 min and it feels just right.

I listened to about half of your podcast. I think the premise is interesting, something old and something new, but it was super long. I would aim for 30-40 min, or at max 60-90 min. I also think there are too many topics. If you are gonna cover books, movies, comics, etc maybe they should have a connecting theme. I'm just offering constructive criticism since your podcast is new. You don't need to listen to me. Good job!

I appreciate the criticism. Listening to it now, I wish I spent more time editing, trimming here and there and making it tighter. Joe Step and I had such a long, enjoyable discussion that I felt capturing that was enough. I'm still new at this so I'll work on it in future episodes.

I'm halfway through ep. 1. You were mentioned on the latest Nerds Without Pants podcast. That's what reminded me of yours.
