Okay. I'm fucking angry at this game. I was enjoying it. Dead Space 3 is fun. But holy fucking shit, how did this game ship? More importantly how the fuck haven't they patched this fucking garbage?
Firstly, this game autosaves with no option for manual save. Which would be fine, but the game decides that it doesn't need to save unless you progress the story. Hey yeah, because a 3 hour side quest isn't worth saving is it?
Even worse, I pressed x on my controller by mistake and it just deleted my save file. No "Are you sure?" prompt or anything. One button. Six hours of progress gone.
Fuck EA.
Oh. I had a save that was at 18%% when I was at 33% that I thought I could go back to, but that's corrupted for some unknown reason.
I'm having my own issues with games not working as well. First the PC crap (easy fixes though), now I'm being reminded that my wireless Gamecube controller only wants to allow one shoulder button to work at a time, meaning I got stuck on an instruction screen in Viewtiful Joe just now. That's weird that auto save doesn't work for side quest accomplishments. I'm used to my Steam games auto saving about every few steps or when even the smallest of significant events or cutscenes happens.
These problems are on all system, and apparently PS3 has the worst of the problems. Knowing this game there's probably a microtransaction to get your saves back.
I've never understood the term "microtransaction." Spending even a penny on something I think should be free gives me a very macro negative reaction. At least I imagine it would. Never actually made a microtransaction. I mean that one sex worker said I did, but ... ooohhhhh, I just got what she meant by that. Bitch.

Dead Space 1 and 2 weren't really scary either, and this has one of the most unsettling moments in the series history, so Idk wtf people are on about. It's got more action, sure, but Dead Space has always been an action series.
Wasn't this a coop game? I remember it being coop like RE5, with an AI partner? I only played 1 and 2 so far. I don't like the sound of the save issue.
It's co-op, but there's no AI partner. He disappears if you play single player.
