Games Beaten
-Catherine (PS3)
Catherine is a very interesting game. The story was the main draw for me. After accidentally cheating on your girlfriend, you have to decide either to try to make things right or run with it. The "gamey" part, ascending a tower of blocks as the bottom slowly falls out, doesn't seem special but fits the game well (main character's recurring nightmare) and is designed well. The music is really cool too, comprised mostly of remixed classical pieces. An odd game but easy to recommend.
Games Bought
August was a very busy month at work with quite a bit of overtime and not nearly enough sleep. As a result I completely spaced out on getting the PS+ games, which really makes me sad. But I did get a couple good PS2 games from Goodwill—Maximo and Ace Combat 4—and LEGO Marvel Superheroes for the Wii U (though not from Goodwill lol).
Now Playing
-Mass Effect 3 (360)
Finally started playing this game. Certainly enjoying it so far!
-Monster Hunter Freedom Unite (PSP)
Making more progress. I have decent fire and ice elemental swords now.
-Silent Hill: Book of Memories (Vita)
Gotten through two bosses.
-Darkstalkers Chronicle: The Chaos Tower (PSP) (PS+)
I've played through the arcade mode with ten of the characters now...but there are seven more to go! And then the Tower mode, of course.
I've bought that Darkstalkers game, but I haven't had the energy to start it yet.
It's fun! It sums up the whole series, I guess, so it's especially great if you're a fan of the series...unlike a n00b like me lol. But I'm still really enjoying it. Some of these characters are really interesting.
I'm actually new to Darkstalkers, so it'll be my intro to the series.
i bought Dark Souls 2 today. I forgot how addictive those games are!
Welcome back to the Dark side, big Matt!
One day I'll play one of those Dark games AND get farther than I did in Demon's Souls lol.
Maximo was a continuation of Ghosts n' Goblins, wasn't it?
LEGO Marvel Superheroes sounds super fun.
Maximo is a reimagining or spiritual successor or something to Ghost n' Goblins. It's not a direct follow up. That's about all I know though lol.
