What the heck is in those things to warrant $1000?

The name Nike and the labor of about a thousand Indonesian children.

Read mothman's comment which I believe is from the IGN article ... though having read it twice, I'm still not really sure myself.

that is SO stupid.  what would be cool though if they had USB ports and functioned as memory sticks.  Tongue Out

Nope, they should have cameras in the toes and a micro sd card slot to record the things your feet see while you're walking. Then you should be able to plug them into your TV with the hmdi cable and....... oh dear that could get a little perverted couldn't it?

Never mind.

The Apple Watch is one thing, but smart shoes? C'mon!

The Android and Apple watches make some kinda sense, it's just a bummer that I believe both require you to still take your phone out to receive calls. If they worked like fully functional smart phone watches AND allowed you to be a Power Ranger or Kim Possible character, that would be better.

A quote:

"The all-black sneakers feature PS4 branding in place of Nike's usual basketball player logo. A HDMI port is embedded into the heel of each shoe, though sadly, the ports don't really do anything but look vaguely cool.

The shoes will come with a HDMI cable that can plug into the ports, acting as a sort of "carry cord" for your shoes when you want to show them off without actually putting them on your feet."

Can you say hella lame? Sure, I knew you could.

Still no hoverboard to put these sneakers on.

Because we can.....

We have the technology....

Because people will pay for this.

Yet another example of stuff being made just to fleece money off of people with little impluse control and disposable income to spare.

I'll be honest, I wish I had enough money to buy these without feeling bad about it.

Interesting, a Jordan IV that has been customized for the Playstation. This show is more collectors than anything else (the price is right around where the Nike Air Mag, the Back to the Future sneaker was going for during the  eBay auctions)

When the Playstation 2 was up and running, Nike had a special Air Force 1 edition that was black, and has some purple, blue, and other colors found on the PS2 along with the PS logo on the side of the heel. Super rare sneaker.
