EBgames had the Vita TV bundle for $100 this weekend so I went for it. I needed a new controller for the PS3 anyway since mine periodically makes characters walk around without my blessing. So I figured, controller, system, memory card and Lego The Movie was totally worth the money. Too bad PS3 controllers can only be paired with one system at a time but I guess you wouldn't want more than one to power on with the same button push.
So yeah I set it up and downloaded Muramasa Rebirth and Zero Escape to check it out. I like the fact that you can play PSP games on the big screen too.
It tells me I can download Escape Plan too but I doubt it would work if I did. Anyway next time P4 The Golden goes on sale yours truly will be totally ignoring everything until I'm done with it.

Just tried to register the unit on the web and there's no way to do it. The US playstation site does not allow for registration of the PS TV unit.
Anyway, I'm thinking of getting a PS TV myself. ToHR is my big motivator, but I think I'd also buy the digital version of Valkyria Chronicles II and play it on PSTV, among other games.

I just heard a little more about PS Vita TV on Allgengamers podcast today, and it sounds kinda cool actually.

I have absolutely no clue what you're talking about, but congrats on your new toy.
I'm surprised you haven't heard of the Playstation TV Tami. It's basically a Vita with no screen or touch features that attaches to your TV set and plays Vita, PSP and PS1 games. Of course some Vita games can't be played on it because of the touch controls but there are a lot that will. You get to play the games with a PS3 or PS4 controller.
Heard of it, but wasn't really catching on to what it was. So it's essentially Sony's Vita version of the Gameboy Player.
Yeah it's a gameboy player on steroids. It's got the whole Vita menu, access to the store, a slot for physical Vita games and a memory card for digital downloads. It's the smallest console I've ever seen.

I picked one up on sale at EB. Normally the unit on its own is $100 and there's a bundle with has a PS3 controller, an 8 GB memory card and a digital code for Lego The Movie that is normally $140.
I got the bundle for $100 and needed a new controller anyway so I went for it.
It doesn't play all Vita and PSP games. Some of the Vita games use the rear touch screen and other functions so they don't work.
It does play 164 or more Vita games and a whole whack of PSP and PS1 games.

Congrats man! When it was first announced I wanted a Playstation TV but after seeing user reviews it just wasn't for me. It's a solid system but I just wouldn't use it that much to be worth the price.
There are a bunch of Vita games that dropped in price at the local GameStop, you could build up a nice collection without spending a lot of cash (not even mentioning the ton of content available on the PS Store) Congrats again!
Now I'm curious to see how this PS TV works out for you. I'm curious if it'll work out well for the streaming of games with your set up. Tell us more when you can.
