Sony kicked off their first day of their event to a great start. Now just hopeing they end it off tomorrow in a good way too. I knew this was gonna be a big event for them. This is was gonna be their big push to make some final holiday/beginning of the year sales. Here were some of the annoucements.

Street Fighter 4's last installment will make the jump to next Gen on PS4. I believe it will be exclusive as well next Gen wise.

Street Fighter 5 is still next Gen only PS4 but I believe I know why. PC and PS4 gamers can fight against each other. Remember Microsoft doesn't support multiplatform play on its consoles. That's why they didn't get a realm reborn. It could still be just a timid exclusive but I honestly believe it's not with knowing that.

Final fantasy 7 is being ported to the PS4. Which is disappointing. It can be bought on several platforms already in port form. What I wish they would have done is the remake everyone has been screaming for all these years.   I won't be buying FF9 if they eventually port it over too. I can happily and comfortably play it on my Vita.

Shovel Knight is coming to all 3 of Sonys current consoles. Kratos will also be apparently making an appearance.

Orcs Must Die Unchained will make its way to PS4.

Uncharted 4 got a new trailer that showed a new mechanic, new character Drakes brother and the release window is for next year.

Persona 5 got a new teaser trailer, it releasing on both PS3 and PS4.

Bastion was announced for Vita and PS4.

Grim Fandango will release on PS4 and Vita in January.

Tearaway on PS4 got a gameplay video which I'm excited for. I got it on my Vita along time ago and loved it.

Well that a enough out of me, there is trailers galore on Youtube.

I'll be eyeing Shovel Knight intently come the Stem Winter sale.

I didn't know PS4 and PC users could play each other. That's cool. So that's why there's a PS+ log-in on Steam's page.

By Sony's current three consoles, do you mean PS4, Vita and PS3 or is there a different system besides the PS3 you meant as one of their current consoles?

They did some cross platform stuff with Portal 2.

I meant PS3, PS4, and Vita. I know the vita is actually a handheld but at the time of my writing this I just wasn't thinking about it in that sense.

I know what you meant there, I just consider PS4 and Vita their current consoles and PS3 a past one. But I guess they are making new games for all three.

If FF VII looks as good as the recent PC port and I can play it on my PS4: SOLD. I don't need a remake (I think it would be a costly mistake for them to do so); I just need it to look good on an HD television. Here's hoping for VIII and IX also.

And that SF V teaser got me all teary-eyed. I've had too many amazing matches over the years, and that hit me in all the feels.

I'm just not excited since I can play it on vita. I'm one of the people who wanted remakes of 7 thru 9. I think if they updated the graphics and added voices but keep the plot lines of the game it wouldn't be a mistake. I think it would sell in crazy supply because sooo many people have screamed for it.

I just have this feeling that if you try to make a big budget remake of those games with voice acting and the whole shebang it will lose a lot of the magic. I have a theory that if you have people start saying the scripts of those games out loud with gravitas and a serious tone it will come off as cheesy. The flipside to that theory is that I think I would have enjoyed the story of FF XIII a lot more if I was just reading it as text. But I know I'm in the minority on that.

I honestly don't think there's enough demand for full-on HD remakes of those games to justify what it would cost to make them.

Grim Fandango baby! Oh yeah!

Posted on December 7, 2014 3:00 PM

I'm pretty excited for it, I never got to play it originally so this will be a first for me.

Me too!

I wish I could enjoy those Uncharted games, but I'm just not into them.

I love uncharted, especially  the third one. I don't think this will be last one but I think this will conclude Drake's story.

Not enough for me to purchase a PS4 yet.  You know what fictional Sony game they could announce that would get me to buy one right away?  Loco Roco 3.

Posted on December 10, 2014 8:49 PM

Wasn't Loco roco a handheld series?  I mean it possiblely could make its way to a console  of course but I thought it was a handheld.

Posted on December 10, 2014 11:51 PM

It was a handheld series, but it could be put on a big console as well if they wanted to.

Street Fighter's cool, Persona 5 is great and right below Zelda U, FFXV, and Xenoblade Chronicles X on my list of "most wanted."

One game I'm excited for is Yakuza 5. It's coming to PS3 as a digital release. What I hope it means is US releases for future Yakuza games and a lightening-up of Sega's overall localization decisions. I'd love to play Shining Resonance in English. But we'll see how well Yakuza 5 does, I suppose...

I figured the series did somewhat alright over here. I know a few people who play it and love it. I just haven't tried it myself to say yes or no. If the series continues and lands in PS4 I'll definitely give it a try. I'm happy about Persona 5, my bf got me into those games so knowing I'll get to enjoy it on PS4 makes me excited for next year.

I'd love to play Grim Fandango, but not buying a PS4 for a very long time. Oh, well. Someday...

Posted on December 10, 2014 8:56 PM

Hey maybe by the time u grab one e the price for the game will be really low. That's the advantage to coming to a console late. Super cheap games to buy.

Posted on December 10, 2014 2:57 PM

I'm waiting for Street Fighter and Uncharted. I own Tearaway but I haven't played it yet. You know you're getting older when you remember the hype surrounding Final Fantasy VII on the Playstation and the hype about it coming back to the PS4.

Posted on December 10, 2014 8:55 PM

Tearaway is great, I absolutely adored the game. I'm excited for the PS4 release especially since it's suppose to be a whole new adventure. Street Fighter and uncharted especially I'm thrilled about however the whole bashing that going on surrounding street fighter is giving me a headache.

If Grim Fandango plays on PS TV I will be all over it. Of course everything stops for Persona 5 hopefully I'll have played P4 Golden by then.
