I haven't even started the game yet and I must ask if the developers were dropped on their heads as children. Seriously, the character customisation is fucking stupid. So you want me to pick my gender and race and then wait 5 minute for the game to load and then I can customise my character? So if I want to change my gender or race to see what they look like, I have to go back to the main menu, and then wait five minutes for the game to load, then sit through a minute long stupid cutscene? Oh, and I have to wait for the Dragon Age Keep to import my decisions everytime because it can't just fucking keep them?

ARE YOU FUCKING RETARDED?!! WHO THOUGH THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA?!

How did they fuck up this badly?

Yea and why only two genders. Sheesh! I can think of at least four that would be interesting. And what if my character has a personality crisis midway in the game? I can't switch genders or even alter a bit of clothing to appear ambiguous. Where's their creativity and open mindedness. Sheesh!

...I feel like you didn't read my post.

My complaint was that if I wanted to change gender or race I had to go back to the main menu, wait for the game to load, wait for the save file to be imported, and watch a cutscene before I get back to the character customisation. It literally takes 3 minutes each time, which doesn't seem like much, but it adds up.

So why can't I change my race or gender in the character customisation? Why do I have to go back to the main menu and put up with that shit again?

I get it. My point is, and I was mostly joking around, but my point is, there should be more choice given to the player. It does suck all that waiting around though. No one should have to put up with that after 2010. I mean the sequel to 2001, A Space Odyssey has already happened. THE SEQUEL.Tongue Out

I'm surprised I haven't heard this complaint before. Maybe it's a problem with the PC port?

Maybe after 80 hours it's something people just forgot about.

Yeah, a lot of people might have a gender in mind before they begin and never really have to experience the builder the way you did.

Good thing is Blake once you get done with the long process the game moves along quite well after the creation process lol!! Patience Blake Tongue Out

Sorry, I'd reply to you but I'm addicted to Dragon Age Inquisition :p

 You're right, it is awesome.

Lel. How can a developer fuck up character creation interace after all this time?  We figured this shit out in the 90s.  It's like all these PC developers lost their damn minds when the Xbox came out.

Yep. It doesn't make any sense how they fucked that up, of all things.

It's weird though, because I played Origins and that character customiser was fine. Even weirder, the hairs and beards look better in that game.

Never noticed that. Pretty fucking stupid.

Dude, I was more pissed than you when I started this game.  I was so irritated that I couldn't bring myself to continue the game for almost a week.  Only after watching my wife play for a while that I started playing it again myself.  The game is still full of problems.  Even more so on the 360 and PS3.  Have multiple saves, prepare for long loading, glitches, and crashing. Yell  I don't know why I'll still playing it.  I'll having fun, but I should quit the shit on principle. Undecided

Yeah, it kept crashing randomly on my pc as well. I fixed that problem but there are still others, like huge frame drops when in towns, or my party getting stuck on terrain, and when I use tactical camera to get them out, they run straight back to the spot and get stuck again as soon as I'm not controlling them. That left me unable to kill a boss...

I'm still addicted to it though, despite it's problems. It's a great game, it's just got a lot of problems.

I'm looking forward to seeing a final review of your play experience. I read that some character quests might be bugged. I was just waiting for all the bugs to be fixed before diving in. I wouldn't want any game breaking issues after 60 hours. I just don't trust your game quality anymore Bioware.

I doubt I'll be reviewing it. It's already been reviewed on Plus10Damage so if I did it would be a short summary of my feelings. But the game is pretty awesome so far despite bugs.

I think most of the game breaking bugs have been patched out by this point, which is why I waited so long. The game runs fairly well, apart from occasionally freaking out and running at 2 fps for like 2 minutes before going back to 40.
