I think I'm now caught up with BaD. Gonna do my best to stay caught up.
Yesterday I got Lords Of The Fallen and Alien: Isolation in the mail. After downloading a 5 gig update for Lords, I got my initial game underway. I chose a warrior class and starting to hack and roll my way through the game's initial area, dying once before defeating the first Lord, a monstrous swordsman called the First Warden.
The Dark Souls influence is definitely apparent in the game, though it lacks the oppressive atmosphere of the series. I'm happy to be playing it, but thus far it doesn't give me the same feeling of addiction I had with the Souls series. Those games...all 3 of them...once I got going, I couldn't get enough.
I think I may play through some more of Far Cry 4 before venturing deeper into Lords Of The Fallen. Gamefly will let me keep it for 18 bucks...I may just do that, as I can easily see 20 bucks worth of value here. I'm not sure how much more value it has, though.
We'll see!
Amost forgot to mention, I have a $5 Gamefly credit, so I can keep the game for around 13 and change
I've actually read good impression about Lords of Fallen and I want to try it out some time, but I'm not craving more Souls right now. I'll eventually give it a try. Seems like my type of game.
I've tried to play it on multiple occasions, but it just doesn't work on my pc. Or... well any PC. The PC port is rubbish and I can't get it above 22 fps. Which in a game like a Souls game is damn near unplayable.
This would all be okay, but you can't turn basic things like AA or AO off and those are the first things I turn off when having performance issues.
Glad your enjoying Lords. I have it and I'm not having the best of time with it. I might start over and see if another class works out better.
I want to play Far Cry 4. Soooo much.
