Over the past couple of weeks I've been reading Deus Ex: Icarus Effect, a prequel novel to Human Revolution. I finished it last night and while it started kind of slow—lots of character building and situation set up—it eventually became a real page-turner. It did touch on a few things from the game, specifically the attack on Sarif Industries at the beginning of Human Revolution, and featured some characters you'd cross paths with in the game, but it mostly did it's own thing and that was fine. It was a good story. But now it has me jonesing for more Deus Ex! So last night I downloaded the mobile game, The Fall, which is a direct sequel to the book. After installation it's the largest game I've ever had on my phone—1.5 gigs! I haven't started it yet but I've heard lots of good things. Once I get through that I plan to tackle the Director's Cut of Human Revolution. I loved that game in its original incarnation, so I know this will be even better. Can't wait to see those redone boss fights!
P.S. When looking for pictures for this post I discovered that there is also a prequel novella available as a free pdf called Deus Ex: Fallen Angel. Guess I'll read that too. Now if they'd just give us something new on PS4...
I need to play the Deus Ex games one of these days. So many games, so little time!

Keep meaning to pick up Deus Ex: HR Augmented Edition.
My phone could definitely not handle that.
I keep thinking about DE: Human Evolution. I didn't get into the first one, but I might like HE.
Make sure you get the Director's Cut. The original version is fantastic...except for the boss fights. They were dumb wars of attrition. We later found out that those fights had been outsourced to a different developer to speed up the development time but they really mangled it. But in the Director's Cut they've been completely redone by the original team. And if you have a Wii U (can't remember if you ever pulled the trigger on that one), that's the best way to go.
I remember people talking about that. I'll get the Director's Cut for sure.
