I just finished reading volume 1 of the original TMNT comic. What a fun read! I am now a firm fan of TMNT and will be checking out the games when I get a chance. At the end of this volume, which came out in 1990, there was this video game ad, and since I have to save any video game ad I come across, I scanned it. It's an ad for the 1990 NES game, Phantom Fighter, a ninja fighting game based on the Japanese film Mr. Vampire. Here's the scan:
I hope The Last Ninja here will do a blog about it. I'd like to know if it's worth picking up.
I read that comic online. Never knew it was originally a parody of 80s Daredevil comics.
Oh cool. I knew it was a parody of something, but wasn't sure what.
I remember this ad... love how the screenshot is so tiny in the corner.
A lot of ads have that tiny screen shot. Why?
W.H.O.A.H.
Mr. Vampire and his Phantoms. I like that as a band name.
