Yes, I'm finally playing the Gothic Horror Lovecraftian excellence that is Bloodborne!
Coming from a Souls series fan, it might seem odd that I waited so long, but I didn't own a PS4 until recently and I was also waiting for DLC which seemed appear just around the corner.

I've only had one real good weekend with game and barely made much progress, but I've been picking away at it all week, and it is defintely pulling me in and making it hard to put down. I don't have a final verdict for the game yet, but it's definitly a pretty game. There are some annoyances like the consumables farming in particluar, but I've managed to make progress regardless.

I've been playing Battlefront inbetween to break up the stressfullnes Souls games tends to put on me when I play them, so it's all good. Yes, I actually enjoye Battlefront despite what the internet says about EA's price gouging practices, but I don't play it in marathon sessions and just pick up short matches here and there, plus the game looks and sounds divine.

I'm also enjoying FREEDOM WARS, which is a weird as Japanese game that I can't really explaing in a sentence because I'm stupid. It's a squad based action game that mixes melee and gun combat where you take on missions to defeat giant ass monster enemies like in Monster Hunter. You also have this wierd bungie cord harpoon attached to your hand so you can grapple on to a giant boss and go to town on it. If you've seen Attack on Titan, then you pretty much get the idea. It's unique and I've never played anything like it. It's also free on PS+ this month as well as Gauntlet and Kings Quest.

I also played Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires on PSVITA which is basically Dynasty Warriors alright!
I created a Link character from Zelda and took over ancient China in the name of Hyrule. LOL!
DW8-Emp3

Check me out! I can throw my shield like Captain America or ride it like a skateboard across the field like Tony Hawk or Legolas!

~Cheers!

I really want to play Battlefront, it looks so cool.

I got a little farther in Bloodborne by taking a shortcut. Then died cause there were still mechanics I hadn't been aware of yet. Literally learned today L1 changes my weapon. This is what happens when I straight up finish the story of GTA V in about a week.

To be perfectly honest, I don't blame you. The opening area of BB--the crowded street, can be frustrating because any time you have to deal with 2 or 3+ enemies at a time you can die pretty easily. Even fighting one enemy that uses a long range weapon, (pitchfork/rake) can be a headache. The first area is more manageable if you open shortcuts that bypass that crowded street- even if it means running past and evading that whole are and just explore the area ahead.

I looked at Bloodborne the other week when I was getting a bunch of Xbox One games. If I had more PS4 exlusives I wanted, I might have bought PS4 games instead, but I couldn't think of any aside from the aforementioned and Killzone, which I already have.

If you liked Freedom Wars try out God Eater Burst. Its a squad based fighting big monsters game, just dont have the grapple hook. You can get it on the vita. Wait, have you played God Eater? I cant remember if you had or someone else on here. I need to re buy Dynasty Warriors Empires, i did enjoy it.

No. I haven't played those othe squad games you mentioned. Freedom Wars is free on PSVita this month via PS+. It's a really good game! I like the sci-fi anime vibe and soundtrack.
I'm interested in trying out Samurai Warriors 4 Empires, as I enjoyed the combat in that game much more than Dynasty.  Here is a trailer:

If only Battlefront had a single player mode it would have been a day one purchase for me...Freedom Wars is such a fun/quirky game. I bought it awhile back and Vita owners need to pick up either a physical copy (they were like $5 on Black Friday) or get it for free on PS+. The story is interesting and I like if you lay down you get an additional number of years added to your sentence.

I haven't played whichever Dynasty Warriors game I have on the Vita. I think the one I have you can connect it to the PS4 version and continue you save, which is something I really like.

The free Dynasty Warriors on PS4 is the one I'm referring to-- DW8-Empires. You can't play the campaign mode in the free version, but you can create characters in the Edit mode and play raids. I think the PS4 looks much better than the Vita version, but the whole thing feels outdated. I thought Samurai Warriors 4-2 was more fun and looked better.
