While I was playing through Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain I decided I would capture all the animals in the game and get the throphy for that. One animal that you catch is a Legendary snake from Japan, a Tsuchinoko. According to the titles on the screen after Big Boss captures one it states that a Tsuchinoko Has Never Been Captured Before! It is a discovery of the Century.
Now remember the Phantom Pain takes place in 1985.
Just tonight I finished playing Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. In Snake Eater you play as Snake before he becomes Big Boss and Snake Eater takes place in 1964. A good twenty one years before the The Phantom Pain.

Now either Hideo Kojima has forgotten about the 1964 capture or maybe he hopes You have forgotten or maybe You didnt capture one in Snake Eater? But I guess either way its still

Maybe the 64' catch wasn't documented, so everyone thinks '85 was the first time in the Metal Gear verse. Either way, I still need to play MGS 3 and 4 so I can then play 5. I know they're not really connected, but I want to go in order.
When you catch the tsuchinoko in Snake Eater and you call Para Medic, her and Major Zero and Siginit all make a big deal out of Snake catching one. It's pretty funny, so when you play MGS3 and catch one make sure to call para medic

That's cool. I wonder if you would have caught it in MGS 3, and then played the most recent one, the text would change. Either way interesting catch both on the snake and that little bit of info in the game.
