So effing pumped. I still have stacks of Punisher comics from the late 80s, early 90s. I hope the character finally gets his due on screen. People always talk about Punisher MAX, but for my money, MIke Baron's run in the late 80s was the ultimate Punisher. Less time spent on trying to shock and psychological turmoil and more on missions, tactics, and ass kicking.
They certainly picked the right actor.
Yeah, I was pretty satisfied when they announced it. I like him in The Walking Dead and Wolf of Wall Street.
Hey, Punisher Warzone was okay!
And yeah, I'm, super fucking keen, although if they do a Punisher show they better not pussy out. I know it's netflix so they probably won't.
Did you ever play the Punisher game on PS2/Xbox? That game was amusing and the torture bits still make me cringe a little.
I watched a friend play the PS2 Punisher game. There are different interpretations of the character, and I was never keen on the ones that played up the violence. One of the things I liked about Mike Baron's work on the character is that it was relatively grounded and no more violent than the story demanded.
The Punisher arcade game form Capcom is my jam though.
Oh hell yes.
