I found some used Disney Infinity Power Discs today at one of my retro stores. I bought the ones that give your characters abilities (they have the star at the bottom). There are also customization ones and toy ones. I like the abilites best. They are circular discs and go under your figure on the portal. Then I picked up 5 figures on the still running Gamestop sale: four Skylanders and a Baymax figure for my friend Mark. Here's the picture and further descriptions below:

Back row: Trap Team Skylanders, Krypt King and Knight Mare
Third row: core Skylanders, Funny Bone and Cobra Cadabra
Second row: C.H.R.O.M.E. Armor Shield, Maleficent's Spell Cast, King Louie's Monkeys
First row: User Control Disc (TRON), Bolt's Super Strength, Electro Charge
I really want the Sorcerer Supreme ability power disc because it has Dr. Strange on the cover.
Two pieces of Skylanders news I thought you might like to know: One, I got an email from GameStop saying that 3/5 is Skylanders Day, so you may want to check that out. Also, I got a press release that Skylanders is releasing special blue and white colored Skylander figures in honor of autisim awareness.
I saw that Skylanders Day thing at Gamestop. I think they're doing a buy one get one free sale on Superchargers figures. I'm still working on the older stuff that's a little cheaper, but I'll be looking at Superchargers eventually.
I've been really tempted by the variations on certain figures. I saw a Sprocket in a tank and several Trigger Happy's with different weapons. I'm trying to resist those for the moment as I try and get all the core figures.
that centaur one, Night Mare, that's pretty cool.
I love the Skylanders designs. I like looking at them, but I'm going to check out all their abilities in the games as soon as I can. I'm amazed that they created so many and all with unique abilities in game.
I never thought about looking for the power discs at GameStop. I should check my local stores and stock up on them.
Unfortuneatly Gamestop doesn't take those for trade-ins, so you won't find any of them used, but I did find some 2.0 ones new that somehow didn't get taken down.
That's a shame that they don't take them in. I do remember one of the GameStop's did have a promotion where people could come in and trade their extra discs with other shoppers.
I looked today at Goodwill, but saw nothing.
