Oh Jim, have you been reading my blogs? I don't always like or agree with The Jimquisition, but he just nails it here. This is everything I've been saying about the game's difficulty but told better.

its funny that he used Darkbeast as an example. I encountered it quite early in the game and felt it was impossible, but then came back and totally owned it.
it does have the difficulty of a roguelike, in that death is a constant part of the gameflow. I think that patience is a better word to describe what players need to appreciate the game.
Im more about atmos anyhow. Its perty.
Same. I'm all about that atmosphere, that bonecrunching combat, and contemplative pace and exploration.
Anyway, that's enough commenting, I need to get back to playing Dark Souls 3.
Tough but fair. That's exactly what I thought when I played Demon's Souls.
What a great video. It is really more about patience and being careful. I feel better about taking another shot at this series.
