Well at some point I really need to start looking through my media drive on my laptop because I am running out of space. Currently I have 299 GB left from a 2TB drive all thanks to Steam and iTunes. At one point I thought about having all my video living in iTunes but it looks like I will get an external for those items, and possibly another external for the .wav files of my records along with my future lossless library. I do need to start looking through the Steam library and see what games I can live without having currently installed. I’m leaning towards removing the freebie Origin games, games I finished, and the games from bundles I have purchased that I really had no interest in but they came with the bundle I liked. I am also looking at removing some of the PC games that I found and installed recently. It looks like it’s going to be digital Spring Cleaning and I need to start being more selective on what bundle games I should install

How are you Pixlpeeps? Did you get any gaming done this past weekend? I really didn’t except for a couple of games of football and maybe trying out the latest DLC for Lego Marvel Avengers. Last night I did however finished a game I bought around the time I bought my laptop.

Dirt Showdown – Steam

Last night I finished the final 9 events in the Legendary tier of the World Tour Mode. In order to compete I needed stronger cars so I had to finally buy two new cars, upgrade them, and then it was on. I enjoyed these races including the Demolition Derby events, which previously I didn’t care about. The one thing that was starting to get to me was the 8 track races. Since each of these races were now at 8 laps with two heats I was starting to feel some dizziness. Thank goodness for the breaks provided by the other races or else I would have stopped playing the game. In all I finished this mode, and had enough in game cash to purchase every car.

I’m glad I finally got to play this game because I missed it on consoles, and I thought it was a steal for the couple of bucks I paid for it, actually it might have been either .99 cents or $2.00.

Lego Marvel Avengers: Doctor Strange DLC – PS4

I played through the story mode and it felt like dragged. Part of me is getting tired of the Lego games, and the level itself I believe is a rehash of another level in a previous Lego game. The only difference is that they threw in some minor different items. During my second play through to get the final trophy it glitched on me and the final minikit wouldn’t appear. Instead of finishing the game I just turned it off. There are better uses for my time, and I’ll try and jump back into the game later on.

NCAA Football 14 – PS3

After winning the National Title with Central Michigan I decided it was time for a change and originally signed with UCLA, but after playing a couple of games as the Bruins Head Coach, it just wasn’t for me. I went back to my CMU save (right during the coaching carousel) and instead of going UCLA, I skipped that job for the Texas A&M job and I am having a ball with this squad. Currently the Aggies are 3-0 and are ranked 20th after defeating 14th ranked Georgia.

*Chris Rants About The 360

I didn’t use my 360 for a couple of months and then I decided to do I think last week. After sitting through a couple of updates I was good to go, and then a day later I couldn’t log into my account. I changed the password and I was able to log into Smartglass, but the 360 refused. Apparently I had to activate the two step authentication where a Google App gives you a temporary six digit code you have to add into the 360 and then you are good to go. Seriously Microsoft, aren’t you the folks who made Windows? Why couldn’t you accept my Windows password? Terrible.  Back to what I played

Battlefield Bad Company – 360

Since I forgot what the heck I was doing I started a new game, and it turns out I wasn’t that far into the game. The game is alright but nowhere as fun as other shooters I’ve played. In fact it’s a lot slower and it seems like the game is just one long mission. I just want to finish this game as fast as possible.

DmC: Devil May Cry – Steam

Another game I didn’t play on consoles I’m finally giving a try and it isn’t bad. The levels are a little long but other than that it’s a pretty game, with decent controls where there is a lot of holding L or R along with a button to use certain actions, and being able to learn/upgrade skills is a positive. It feels like God of War except I think GoW is a lot smoother.

In mobile gaming I’ve shifted my focus to Fairway Solitaire and some random Bejeweled game. I downloaded these games for my two day trips. I’m happy to play Fairway Solitaire again because it is a solid Solitaire game but it’s a shame it didn’t save my progress (I was easily 50-60% finished).

Random Gaming Items:

  • I need to fire up my 3DS so I can unlock some Pokemon via through code and over the air
  • I’m thinking about buying a wired XBox 1 controller (I might have mentioned this already) and have it be the dedicated laptop controller
  • My younger cousin keeps telling me I should play some game called Five Nights At Freddy’s. He’s in Kindergarten yet he plays this. I’m waiting for it to appear in a bundle
  • There was something else but I can’t remember what it was. I’ll probably remember the minute I publish this entry.

Alright Pixlpeeps, I am off. Have a good week!

That’s all for now, more later!

I'd be a bit concerned about a kindergarden kid playing Five Nights at Freddy's, but I guess it's none of my business.

The last year or so I used my 360 extensively, it gave me fits like that.  Last year I put it away as I wasn't using it much anyway.  It served me 8 good long years, I figure that's pretty good.

Man that new Captain America movie was pretty goofy!

I figure if his parents are good with it, and he doesn't have nightmares than he can play it. He always texts me pictures so I guess he really likes the game

I hope the dang thing is starting to break down. I've had it for a couple of years but haven't used it much in the past 6 months.

Captain had its moments, I do wish some of the fight sequences were shorter.

it's too bad that Dr. Strange DLC is disappointing, I like Dr. Strange.  Never been into Lego games though. I wish they would apply those properties to non-lego games.

I think its more with me having that Lego rust where I had to figure out which character could do what, along with me getting burned out. I wish the developers would make a new Ultimate Alliance. I believe the one on the PS3 was about the Civil War storyline and it would have made sense to release one around the time of the movie.

yeah Ultimate Alliance wasn't bad. I heard that Xmen game was good but I never played that.

Yeah the X-Men games were good but I never finished the second one. There was also a Fantastic Four game as well that wasn't bad but not as good as the other ones.

Im with Cary, Its kind of worrisome he is so young playing Five Nights at Freddys but to each their own. That sucks about the 360, I had to update my password on the Xbone and since I hadnt signed in on the new one it wouldnt let me connect to live. I about had a heart attack until I noticed I jsut needed to re sign in.

I get what you guys are saying, but if mom and dad are ok with it, and he's not having nightmares than I guess he can play with it. Yeah the 360 stuff was a pain but I finally got it to work. Shame that the app had no problems but the actual console was a hassle.

I haven't had any trouble with my Xboxes, but I did notice how they keep adding new layers of security. I guess that's ultimately good, but you shouldn't have to wrestle with it every time you want to play.

Ooo, I want to play that Dr. Strange DLC.

It funny that the X-Box is adding new security but the app hasn't changed much. I guess if I had a heads up (partly my fault for not using the 360 for a couple of months) it wouldn't be an issue, but I am glad that Microsoft is adding new layers of security.
