Today I took back the game room for 3 hours and enjoyed some time with my new PS4.
I completed the Final Fantasy XV demo (didn't feel anything like a FF game), the RE teaser demo (played through 1.5 times because the internet told me that the ending is different depending on the order you do things in. Got motion sickness from the damn FP perspective half way through my second time and had to quit before I puked).
Then I put a couple of hours into Dragon Age: Inquisition. I enjoyed it a lot and it's also pretty nice looking. I'm an Elf/Mage.
I knew that the system didn't play PS3 games and that it only plays digital PS2 games from a smalll list but I thought for sure it would let me play my digital PS1 games. Sadly it doesn't.
Anyway I still have a PS3 and PS2 hooked up. I relegated my 360 to a closet and will likely get rid of it despite the big digital library I built up on it.
Congrats on the new PS4! Ours get used all the time. Did you keep up with getting the PS+ games for it before you bought it? There's been a lot of great stuff.
Yep, I have every PSN+ PS4 game that has been offered so far. Did the same with Vita games
That's an annoyting part about PS4, no PSOne compatibility. There is a great Square Enix sale going on right now, but most of those games are only playable on PS3, or PSVita. I usually play PSOne games on my Vita.
I've played a lot of DA:I and was curious about the multiplayer. Have you tried that out yet? Its supposed to be seperate from the main game.
Yep, I pretty much have everything from that sale. I'm not big on MP so I probably won't go there. Fun game though.
If I were in the market for a new console right now, I'd probably get a PS4 over an Xbox One. Just a few more games that interest me, but not much more.
What?! My PS1 games aren't playable on PS4? That's impossible! To quote Luke "the whiner" Skywalker. Now I really have to hook up my PS3 again. Vita is nice, but big screen is better.
