Reflections, Reviews, and Randomness! Oh My!

Hello hello. It's been once again awhile since I blogged. Much like dracula I shun the light and waking up past the crack of 3pm *hiss* Anyways E3 happened and I am of course pumped about the PS4. I don't know if I will get it just yet seeing as how there is NEO on the way and the crazy VR. I want the Last Guardian so badly though. Like you have no idea. Iloved Ico and Shadow of the Colossus...I've been waiting since this was announced as far back as 2009! Remember 2009? Back before we had hovercars! We walked up hills! Walked I say!

On another note The Legend of Zelda is a very gorgeous Wii U game. It makes me interested to think about the NX version...which mum is the word about though if rumor is to be believed we'll be getting cartridges again...say what????? Anyways I just hope and pray that the NX is a console that does one of two things

1. Is easy for third parties to develop for/no gimmicks.

2. Has at least something with a better internal memory system than the wii u had/better internet coding/f***ing voice chat!/ and A better system in the nintendo e shop where ALL the WII and Wii U virtual console/wiiware/ eshop exclusives can be transferred easily

As for other news I picked up both Xenoblade Chronicles X and Tokyo Mirage Session #FE Special Editions for $160. So I'll be slogging and grinding my brain to rot for the rest of the year on that before Zelda next year.

Also to no one's surprise The Devil's ThIrd...a game I find absolutely fantastically so bad it's awesome (also one that Nintendo saved only to literally ignore it and say well hey at least it's released)...will have it's online functionality taken away on Nintendo Wii U versions by the end of the year. You have 6 months to blend fruit people! Step on it!

I've also been thinking about doing a weekly review blog series on Wii games. Remember all thos bad Wii reviews I did a couple years ago...Well there are so, so, so many more. But I don't just want to review terrible games....though it wouldn't be hard...I have all of them.(Stares in horror at Rock N' Roll Adventures) Thank you bargain bin! I spent $3 on crap! But I would like to focus also on perhaps diamonds in the rough. That there were good if not fantastic Wii games you may have never given a chance. Anyways let me know your thoughts below. Feedback is always greatly appreciated. Unless you don't like my blogs. Which makes me sad you meanies Cry All jokes aside...thanks for reading!

I love your blogs and would especially like to hear about more bad Wii games. I'd also like to hear which ones you deem worthy of a playthrough.

Thanks I'll try and think of something. Like I said it's not a for sure thing, but I know plenty of cheap bargain bib buys are actually decent.

I forgot about Devil's Third. The trailer made it look crazy like Mad World. It's also on the Wii-U. That'll be another game I can add to my library for that system.

I don't know about that KnightDriver. I mean yes I enjoy it (Then again some other people do too) It is somewhat of a bad game as enjoyable as I find it. But hey listen the downloadable game on eshop is apparently being cut in half (so like $30) Because buying a physical copy for $60 or more is just a deal breaker. If you have the storage space to download it I'd go that route right now.

Yeah there are a lot of Wii games that may look bad, but have something interesting about them that makes them worth playing.

Absolutely Cary! Some of the best Wii games I've played are rather unappealing on he eyes.

I'm all for Wii reviews, both good and bad, as I missed out on that console altogether. I kept coming across used ones at GoodWill, but never when I had the disposable income to get one.

Well if you have a Wii U all Wii games are backwards compatible in Wii mode, plus you can save game to an SD card. There are plenty of great Wii titles for cheap. I mean yes you can buy some Wii games on the Nintendo eshop, but honestly you could probably buy a physical copy of Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 for cheaper. But if you don't have a wii U you could always get a Wii on the cheap for like $30-$50

I'm all for your improvements on the NX. As for the rumour about cartridges, i'll believe it when I see it and honestly, even with Nintendo having done boneheaded decisions in the past, they are not THAT crazy to do so.

.... Also, for reasons i'd rather not bring up, every mention of XB X and TMS make me a bit dead inside.

Posted on July 1, 2016 2:04 AM

Yeah who knows what the NX actually is besides Nintendo lol. I also can guess that TMS and XCX issues have to do with the censorship. And while I disagree with the censorship and what they do...it doesn't affect the overall game for me. They're still both fun to play, just restrained.

Heh, guess there's no need to hide it as you found instantly one of my reasons for not even touching those two games (that and shitty localization overall). I'll also add Fire Emblem Fates to the list now that we're at it.

Wii games are hella ugly. I know some people love that system but I just felt the opposite. Still, Mario Galaxy was the shiznit.

Absolutely Super Mario Galaxy is great. But even so I know of some great looking games that didn't rely solely on terrible motion control
