Hey everyone! hope all is well!
February has been a decent month so far except for coming down with a cold this week - it has not been fun.
I finally started to pick up games that I have not played in awhile - like Uncharted Colection for PS4. I got through Drake's Fortune and I am making my way through the second game now. I have also finally made it to chapter 3 in Dragon Quest Builders, Morrowind every now and then. I am finally going to start play Mass Effect as well!
I am doing a charity stream marathon weekend of sorts. It's gotten a little messed up due to being sick where I cannot stay up all hours of the night to avoid getting a cold again AND I am on call for work on Saturday from 9am - 12pm which I had no idea about untill Wednesday this was happening, so there may be a point of I need to stop to support that. But I am going to make the best of it!
I start tonight at 8pm (goal start time) and it's my first play through of Mass Effect so no idea what I am getting into haha. My boyfriend is really excited about me playing the game and to see what choices I make. I am probably only going to be getting through the first game or close enough through the first game because I am probably going to want to do every quest. I am playing through till Sunday till 5pm just so I have the rest of the evening to relax before the work week again.
This is part of my Extra Life 2017 events I am planning to do - it's just the first and I am in the works on planning the second one out (may be a borderlands one next)
If you would like to tune in tonight on twitch or if you cant and would like to donate here are the links! All proceeds donated to my page on Extra Life go to CT Children's Medical Center
Other than that my plans for the rest of this month and next are to finish Uncharted, play through Final Fantasy Type 0, 100% FF15, Finish Zestieria, complete dragon quest builders and then go from there.
9am to 12pm isn't too bad, or do you mean 9am to 12am? Is it noon or midnight?
I haven't played Uncharted or Mass Effect games. I am planning on getting the Nathan Drake Collection once I finish Rise of the Tomb Raider, and I'll probably ask for ME: Andromeda for my birthday since it's a standalone game I think and it comes out on my birthday (in Europe ... two days prior over here).
I hope you feel better!
I participated in an Extra Life stream with my old employer, Invodo a few years back. So fun! Good luck!
It's only 9 am - 12pm so it's not horrible but my gut keeps telling me there's something going to go wrong which may make it longer and I am not thrilled about it >_< So hopefully my gut is wrong!
Thank you! I feel pretty much all better with the occasional wake up and feeling crummy for a few hours.
Extra Life has been something I really enjoy doing and this year I figured that I wanted to do more event type things to try to get donations.
Good luck man. That's pretty hardcore!
Thank you! So far Mass Effect is okay I just got to the real story part of the game so hopefully after the tutorial session it picks up!
it's a great great game if you're into that sort of thing. I love it and can't wait for the new one.
At some point I really should get back and tackle the original Uncharted, and again it's really an awesome thing you're doing playing games on Twitch while raising money for charity.
Thank you! I at least tried lol. It usually hit or miss with it but I don't think I advertised as much as I should for it - was dealing with allergy issues all February. But I am deciding on my next one which might be a Borderlands playthrough with friends - not sure yet.
Mass Effect is my favorite game. I had to stop myself from playing it over and over again. My wife is currently playing through it now. She's about a 3/4 through it.
I have the first 3 Uncharted games. I only played the 1st. I didn't like it much. I've been told the other games are better.
Mass Effect is extremely fun! I am making a Renegade character and its fun being a jerk to everyone haha.
Uncharted the first game the story was good - the controls were annoying in my opinion. The second one so far seems to have a decent story, not sure yet how much the controls were done yet. But so far it's decent.
Hope you're feeling better now, Ashley.
I got stuck in the first Uncharted in one spot where the enemies just kept coming and coming and coming and I kept dying and dying and dying and I rage quit and haven't been back to it since. I wasnt that far in, either.
I have Mass Effect, just have never gotten around to it. I need to stop buying games (and new systems) and just wale away on what I already own.
I am now! I got put on an everyday allergy medicine which has been helping a lot! So it was a mixture of the cold and allergies kicking my butt.
I know which part you're talking about and I actually rage quit for a the day there too when I was playing the first one - and then eventually I got past it but it was such a pain in the butt.
That is what I have been trying to do - beat the games I have and then eventually buy new ones lol
I've never actually picked up Mass Effect. Tried Dragon Age and DA: I and could never really get into them. Pretty neat to be playing a game for charity that you've never played through before.
Thanks! Mass Effect is actually pretty fun once you get past the tutorial part of the game. I like Dragon Age but it is not an easy game.
I know Xbox One is getting Beam as a provider for streaming soon. I'm going to try that out. I wonder if I can watch your Twitch stream on my Xbox One? I should be able to. I'll have to look into that next time I'm at Mark's, which may be tomorrow. I'll look up DefectiveMID.
You should be able to =)
But I am happy to be getting back to Streaming in March - I took the rest of February to recovery and wait for my allergy meds to kick in and take effect. Which I am feeling so much better from them!
That's great! Looking forward to trying to catch your stream in March.
