I don't know Pixlpeeps, typing out Friday's Quick Hits on Saturday morning while in bed might be the new thing. It's comfy, the laptop isn't crazy heavy (nowhere near as light as my old Macbook Pro) and I like the view of my laptop screen and my ceiling. Speaking of ceiling, I need to do something with it like either paint a mural or well just paint a mural. Anything else could be considered weird and/or creepy. Let's get started with Quick Hits!

The Comey Hearing (the non political take) – Every Channel
Yeah so this was the big deal that everyone was waiting for. Former head of the FBI talks to a bunch of folks who probably made some crazy deals (House of Cards, thanks for putting this in my head) to get on this 5615661314 person committee. Here is my take: why does each person on that committee ask such long winded questions just to be met with either one word, or one sentence answers? Also where was the live tweeting by the President? I was promised live Tweeting, and now someone takes the phone away?
I do like how local news (I only watch them now because how can you slant the narrative of a cat in a tree...and yest that was an actual news story than ran in the A Block. Think about that) asked locals at a local diner what they thought, and they all basically said the same thing “we're tire of it and want answers.”
The NBA Finals – ABC
I don't care for either the team in the NBA Finals, but I do like pointing out the folks who have jumped on the bandwagons the past couple of years.
I may have posted this image to Instagram with the caption “Wearing the jersey of recent Cavs/Warriors fans.” It's odd seeing Golden State Warriors gear at Target and car flags but this is Southern California and they do love to hop on the bandwagon, and yes I'm looking at you “lifelong” Laker fans.

My Netflix watching has kicked in since all the shows I would normally watch are now on Summer Break, and while browsing the downloadable section on my iPad I spot this

Chris Listens To...
I'm currently listening to the Adam Carolla Podcast and he's interviewing Dog the Bounty Hunter. I liked watching Dog's old show and I'm interested in listening to this interview and apparently Dog's getting a podcast. I'll listen to a couple of episodes to see it it makes the rotation.
As for my quest to listen to everything in my iTunes library, I am currently 150 tracks behind my ideal pace. I should be able to make that up this weekend or just evenly spread it out throughout the rest of the days in June. I also found a website where the owner wants to share his music collection and he has a ton of Brazilian Jazz. I'm currently slowly downloading that and it could be in the thousands of tracks. I will add what I downloaded to my iTunes library after I hit zero in my current library. This is a good way to check out new music, and find new artists that I can be on the lookout for in the World Music sections of the local mom and pop and Barnes & Noble.
Randoms:
I rarely venture into the corner of the grocery store where the honey machine with the bees live, and there is a special refrigerated case where the chilies and specialty produce are. Well next to that the Udon noodles and other noodles but when I looked closely I spotted this
Yeah the only Tofu I'd eat is the stuff at the local Thai place where they cut it into squares and fry it. This stuff, I'd rather eat the originals.
When I am currently adding to my archive of pictures I've found it to be easier to pull the pictures from my Photo Drive on my laptop that syncs to my phone instead of going through iCloud. That might be a spoiler for a topic in next Monday's blog.

I didn't buy any new music or anything else this week.

#ComeyDay was exactly what I thought it would be: Comey describing shady shit both parties did to put him in impossible positions I already knew about or suspected (especially after his initial statement was released), nothing immediately damning in a legal sense, and a lot of things that can be seen through party lenses to make either side go, "see? WE were right all along!" There were some funny images of the differences between the cable news networks crawls to that effect.
I don't really care about Warriors or Cavs either. They both have titles in recent years, so there's no real underdog to me (I guess it's technically the Cavs, but eh). But I hate you for that Heat jersey. MAY IT BURN IN HELL #NeverForgetNBAFInals2006 #Or2011NBAFinalsforhappierreasons
Netflix's algorithm is so weird. I finished House of Cards, now I'm on F is for Family and will soon watch OITNB. I've watched a handful of comedy specials as well, and finished One Punch Man a bit ago (I loved it at first, but it got repetitive).
R.I.P. Adam West. Watching the 60s Batman movie makes me want to watch more of the TV show.
Nah I was thinking something classy like a clouds or a city skyline. We'll see if I ever get around to it.
Haha I have no idea when I bought that jersey, I do know it was after that NBA Finals and before Heatles. I think it was when D Wade wore Cons and his shoes hit Marshall's. I wanted to get the shoes and jersey but lost interest in the shoes and just bought the jersey.
I wish more of Netflix's content was available to download. I did finish House of Cards in an airport terminal and on the flight to SF.
Adam West as Batman was a huge part of my childhood.
I remember having to talk a kid who lived in the flat above my grandma down off the balcony because he thought he could glide down to the ground in his Batman costume.
Ha ha! Great story.
Wow that kid was crazy, but to be fair I once thought if I could use a bedsheet and jumped off my roof it would be like a parachute and I would float to the ground.
