So I've played LiS: Before the Storm 4 times now.
The initial run was just that: my first reaction to the game.
The second run, I knew what different choices you could make, but decided to see what everything looked like as Bitch Chloe ... which, to me, is kinda just Chloe being Chloe.
Then I did a Doe run ... making Chloe into a much more morally righteous character in my view ... I knew I wasn't going to stick with this, cause then I'd just be Max.
Then I did a Raven run, where I sorta mixed myself and Chloe together, knowing all the possible threads.
What I would have liked to to is use each of the three save files as a different playthrough and go from there. But now I'm wondering if I should just replay the episode again and leave my decisions from the initial run intact, or leave everything as it is in the Raven run ...
Gahhh!
What do you think? Is it better to play a game like this once and leave your decisions be, or should you go back and change things, affecting consequent episodes?
I don't think it matters. If you love a game enough to want to play it over and over again, it shouldnt matter.
Well, I might play it again, I'm just wondering if it's best to have the choices set to what is natural or what only came once I knew the puzzle answers etc.
Enjoy it how you want to. Milk the content or leave it be. It's your game play it however you want it.
Well, right, but that's not really what I'm asking. I'm wondering if it's better to have the experience going forward that I stick to initial decisions and see where things go, or is it better to be a completionist as far as what I'll see in upcoming chapters.
yeah I don't know. Sometimes, I decide my single playthrough choices are what matter, and then, with a game like KOTOR2, I played it every which way to see every possible outcome of everything. Whatever makes you happy. Seems like you really dug this one.
I do, and I'm sure I'll play it every which way once all episodes are out, but I kinda want to see what happens when I just leave my initial run choices be. But then, is the game set up in a way that's intended for me to go back and find all the clues? Maybe so, since it's episodi content and perhaps they mean for you to re-do things while waiting on the next episode.
I love playing the same game different ways to see what happens. If a game will be different every time, yes, I'd do it.
I just wish they'd let me have three save files instead of erasing one every time I start over. That way, I could see all possibilities as the game progresses and not have to wait until all three chapters are out.
Then again, maybe that's an indication they want me to experience the game naturally, and keep my initial choices?
Yea, with one save file, I wouldn't mess with it either until I'd played all the episodes.
I think if you enjoy the game and want to keep playing it and get something new out of it than play it this way. I would usually play the game once as kind of a good guy but for Infamous on PS3 I did play through the game once as a good guy, and part as an A-Hole.
Too bad they won't actually let you play angsty, 14-year-old Chloe as though she has any kind of traditional moral compass. lol It's basically "nice as possible" or "realistic for Chloe's character."
