IF you've never played Super Mario World a lot, I would definitely recommend that. Otherwise, I didn't have a SNES when I was a kid.... so I'm not an expert on what's available outside the obvious.

I remember the revelation that Donkey Kong Country was when I was a teen. I remember looking at the TV screen and saying to myself: "What the f is that??"  It had such a unique look.  Hard to believe now the SNES did it.

Yeah it looked real. The graphics. The trees and the backgrounds. Also, the characters were like semi 3D-looking, or something.

Not sure what I would add to that list.

I usually replay Super Metroid and A Link to the Past at least once a year.

The SNES is my favorite video game console.  So many good games on it.

I got the SNES Classic Edition for my birthday.  Pretty much anything on that is good.

You have a pretty good list to start.  Games I played to death on my SNES include FF4, FF6, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Super Mario RPG, Super Mario World, Super Metroid, Yoshi's Island, ActRaiser, Wario's Woods, A Link to the Past, Mega Man X, Super Mario Kart, Mario Paint, and many more!

I always think DK Country and Contra III when I think of SNES. I played those a lot back when the system was out. Later I played some Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen, Super Mario RPG and ActRaiser, all great. Now I want to play Parodius, Daffy Duck Marvin Missions, Pirates of Dark Water, Pop'n TwinBee, The Tick, and Uncharted Waters.

Out of those I definitely agree with the first four and Chrono Trigger. Not that big a fan of FFVI or Yoshi's Island (gonna give them another spin on SNES mini though) and haven't played the others. Some I'd add are Donkey Kong Country 2, Zombies Ate My Neighbors, Mega Man X, The Lion King, Kirby's Superstar, Earthworm Jim, Earthbound, at least one Street Fighter game, and Super Castlevania IV

That list is solid. I'd add Zombies Ate My Neighbors myself, and Earthbound. If we count import games I'd definitely add Seiken Densetsu 3 and Tales of Phantasia. I've only played the emulated version of the former and the GBA version of the latter. My favorites are Zelda and Metroid (of course.) If it's a Nintendo console, you can bet that my favorite game on it will have the word "Zelda" somewhere in the title.
