With the SNES Classic out on shelves and 21 fantastic games on the classic system, I figured I'd highlight some classics that didn't quite make the cut. So let's talk some classics.

So of course I'm not going to be able to list, but there are some notable titles missing. Games like Chrono Trigger, Tetris Attack, DKC 2: Diddy's Kong Quest, Lufia I & II, Breath of Fire I & II, Super Bomberman, Kirby's Dream Land 3, etc. I could definitely go on and on. As such it is a bit of a shame the SNES Classic didn't come with 30 games like the NES Classic did, especially at $20 for the console.

Of course the SNES as great as it was wasn't without some duds and clunkers. Games like Shaq Fu, Captain Novolin, and one that I unfortunately owned and was even on the NES was Mario's Time Machine. I remember enjoying the surfing parts for mushrooms as a kid, not so much the other stuff. I didn't really learn anything. I thik I ended up just using cheat codes or game genie to see the ending of bowser getting crushed by a T-Rex foot or at least I think that's what happened...it's been awhile.

Anyways, just another quickie today. Any fond memories of classic titles not on the SNES Classic? What about terrible game?. As always thanks for reading!

Honestly, I saw Grunps playing Mario Time Machine and it looked decent to me.

I haven't played it in forever, so who knows. I just know that anything educational makes me wary. I want to rot my brain! Give me impossible shoot em ups with one hit kills over that any day.

Chrono Trigger would have been a great addition.

Definitely! My favorite RPG of all time. I have the original SNES cart, the DS release, and the emulator!

How about Ogre Battle March of the Black Queen.

A classic! That and Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber. It's too bad there hasn't been any new games in the series since the GBA title. I don't want remakes. I want a new Ogre Battle or Tactics Ogre game! Come on Atlus!

Yea really. Add a new Advance Wars to that list too.

I loved the SNES.  It's my favorite console and I'm glad I got the SNES Mini.  I knew it wouldn't have ALL the games I wanted on it, but it would've been neat to have ActRaiser, Chrono Trigger, the rest of the DKC games, Kirby's Dream Land 3, FF4, Lufia 2, Mario Paint, and many more!

Absolutely. There are far too many classic gems that the SNES had.
