I was like a vulture today swooping over the local mall, which didn't open in time before I had to go to work, and landing for a quick peck at the dying Toys R Us, which still isn't running a clearance sale, even though they could close any day now. It's just as well, I've been well fed this past week anyway. Over fed, really. 

And I've decided to reboot my retro plan so it will take only a year and not several to complete. I'll now be able to repeat it every single year. I've got each month covered with a console generation until I get to the present and  beyond. With accuracy not a goal. 

The year looks like this:

January – 1967 – 1976: Pong, Pinball 

Feb – 1977 – 1984: Atari 2600, Intellivision, Colecovision, Arcade, Game & Watch 

March – 1985-1989: Arcade, NES, SMS 

April – 1990-1994: SNES, Gameboy, Genesis,  

May – 1995-1999: N64, GBC, Saturn, PS 

June – 2000-04: Dreamcast, GameCube, GBA, Xbox, PS2 

July – 2005-09: X360, Wii, DS, PS3, PSP 

August – 2010-12: 3DS, Vita, Wii-U 

Sept – 2013 - present: PS4, XBO, 

Oct - 2017 – present: Switch

This seems, at first, more complicated but I think it's actually less complicated than what I had going before, which was making my head swim with researching dates on individual games every month. Now I'll just focus on a system, or three, every month and play a favorite or something new that I missed. 

I'm also going to try and do a top ten for each month that covers a complete console cycle. I haven't decided what to call the series yet. It won't be Time Warped though.
