Star Wars: Republic Commando, has always been a criminally overlooked game. Back in those days, Star Wars games came out all the time, and most of them weren't so great, so it makes sense people would forget about this one. But Republic Commando is surprisingly fun and well done, and is a nice FPS in a world full of half-assed ones.
I played this on my Original Xbox when I lived in New York. I guess it took me a couple days to beat. During that time, I had a lot of fun. It doesn't have a Shakespearian story, but the gameplay is pretty good. It's a squad shooter, so not only are you controlling yourself, but also directing your comrades, who have different abilities.
It seems so long ago now from when there was the deluge of Prequel games. All we've gotten in the past ten years is the Battlefront games and shitty lootboxes. Fuck EA.
I'm curious what's going on behind the scenes between EA and Bioware, cause it really seems like EA wants to rush things ...
The developer of Titanfall is making a Star Wars game. That should be good.
Was this the one that was squad based like SOCOM? Yeah there was a point where there were a ton of Star Wars games being released. I played my fair share of some of the not so good ones.
I haven't played SOCOM, but yeah it was squad based. It's a great genre, too bad there aren't more games like that.
SOCOM was fun. I think it was the first game where I would wear the headset, shout out orders and the game understood. Come to think about it, it was the second game. The first was that weird fish game on the Dreamcast.
This was a cool game. I played it on Xbox and it just last week got put on Games with Gold. So, now I have it digitally on my XBO.
yeah it''s pretty fun.
