About the game: This movie tie-in game stands out because it was developed by Konami, the king of beat 'em ups during this time (Capcom had some good ones too). Instead of having this be a generic platformer, they made it into a fun beat 'em up where Batman punches, kicks, swoops, and even knocks heads together. That smacking sound just sounds so good! There are some platforming sections that I think are a bit weak, and the Batmobile level is cool (although dated), but overall, this game is very fun. It's a hard game. The boss fights against Catwoman and Penguin are especially brutal. Konami somehow was able to translate the movie's visuals and music over to the SNES very well.

Why I love it: This is arguably the best Batman game of the era. Konami knows how to do beat 'em ups, and this is no exception. Beat 'em ups are my favorite genre, so that's probably why I love this game so much. The variety of gameplay is nice, although the beat 'em up stuff is much better than the platforming or driving sections. The music is excellent, sounds like it was ripped right from the movie. If you like beat 'em ups, I think you will certainly have a good time with this one.

I love beat-em-ups too. I'm going to have to try this sometime.
You should, it's fun!
I never played this one either. Not sure if my movie rental place didn't have it or I just wasn't interested enough to spend my rental money on it.
That's two, Cary. Let's see how many more I can name this month that you haven't played lol :)
Dude, that Batman sprite looks great.
Yes, and it's big. Really great character sprites in this game.
Great movie. And I love beat em ups. But I've never played this. Heard a lot of good things though.
It's an excellent movie game. Just stear clear of the other versions (there's a ton of different versions) because they're mediocre. This is by far the best version.
