Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together was released for the Super Famicom in Japan in 1995, and then re-released for the Sega Saturn and the PSONE in 1997. But I started playing it when it was released for the PSP in 2011. I continued playing it on the Vita.

I've probably sunk hundred of hours into this game. I've played through most of the story twice (and it has branching paths), but I have never beaten the game, not to mention the post-game. It's probably one of my favorite games of all time... I just find it so soothing to play. It can be tough, and you can find yourself replaying levels you've lost, and it can be a grind sometimes, but damn I still love it.

I'm a big fan of Tactics games. The first one I played was Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2 for the Nintendo DS. After that I was hooked. I've played through the original Final Fantasy Tactics a couple times too - on PS3 as a PSClassic, on my PSP and Vita, and on my iPad (which is a GREAT port, by the way). And I haven't finished that either! But even with FFT's legendary status, I still like Tactics Ogre more. FFT is an awesome game, though.

Right now my Vita is sitting in the storage area of my ottoman. But thinking about Tactics Ogre right now, I might have to dig it out.

Oh yeah, these kinds of games are my thing. FFT is one of my GOAT games. I play more tactics games on PC though, as there seem to be a lot more of them. I'm trying out Heroes of Might and Magic 3 currently. Ever played those?

No, but I'd like to. There ARE a lot of Tactics games on PC, but I haven't been gaming much on PC lately.

Yeah Final Fantasy Tactics is a great game. Wish they would make more of those.

I got the PSP version, since the PS1 version flew under my radar - ironically, Final Fantasy Tactics is one of my favorite PS1 games of all time and one of my favorite Final Fantasy games (I personally consider it a main FF entry alongside the numbered titles), and it was cool to finally see its progenitor.

I love Final Fantasy Tacitcs too. And I haven't beaten that either!

The first tactics game I played was Final Fantasy Tactics on PSOne.  What I learned from that game was that I don't like tactics games.  But I am working on reviewing a tactics game right now!  The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics.  I actually like this one, but I don't know if it's because the game is good or if I really like The Dark Crystal and I can set the game on a super easy setting!

Hmm, that game hasn't been getting very good reviews, so I pretty much forgot about it. Looking forward to your review.

I bought this for the Vita, downloaded it but I've never started it. Its intimidating.

It is a pretty vast game, and very complex. But it's also very good.

I played this on a rental once for PSP. I love tactics games but I never get very far in them. I'm either a dummy brain or I don't have the patience for it. I was never a good Chess player either.
