Good morning Pixlpeeps! It is Friday (I didn’t realize yesterday was Thursday until 5pm, nice surprise) which means a fun filled weekend is in store. Since my little town has lifted their mask wearing requirement I will still wear a mask because I don’t trust anyone in this little town. ANY.ONE. I will also still not leave the friendly confines of my neighborhood. Call me crazy but again I don’t trust ANYONE here in my little town. Anyways let’s get started!

Dark Side Of The Ring - Vice: I’ve been clearing shows off the DVR and I’ve been recording this series after watching Season1 when it originally aired. Each episode of Dark Side of the Ring deals with a story about a wrestler or promotion where something went wrong, what lead X to the point where they did something harmful. Think Dateline but with wrestlers. I still have Season 2’s premier episode dealing with the life of Chris Benoit but I really don’t want to watch that one. I remember when it happened and it’s still a bit disturbing.

Once I finish with that I will knock out the other shows on the DVR like Top Chef, and random shows.

Penny Dreadful: City of Angels - Showtime: It’s 30’s Los Angeles, and you follow two cops who have to deal with a murder in the city that is staged like something you would see from a Dia De Los Muertos celebration (no idea how to actually describe it). One detective is new, is Mexican which isn’t liked by some on the force (oh that crazy racism), and his partner who takes him on because he knows nobody else will. Sprinkle in some religious folklore, more racial tension, the Nazi’s and being close to the outbreak of World War II and you have yourself interesting TV. This is actually the first Penny Dreadful I’ve watched. I like the time period because of movies like Chinatown and LA Confidential so it was must watch.

WWE Money In The Bank - WWE Network: Oh this was show was not good up until the actual MITB matches and it was so ridiculous that it was fun to watch. WWE really needs to loosen up a bit because when they do stuff like this, it is entertaining. AEW is like this and it is a fun watch.

Other shows I’ve been watching: Billions, still going through Community, started watching Las Vegas again, and good ol’ California’s Gold.

Chris Reads…

I haven’t read anything this week. Since my audiobook binge last week, I’m taking a break until I find something interesting, or I just go back to listening to Spider-Man. I used to be really into Spider-Man as a kid but not so much now. I think it was because he would fight Dr. Octopus in the coloring books and I really liked Doc Oct.

Chris Listens To…

I have a backlog of Podcasts, because I’m going through my music library (again), and rating the FLAC files. You know the drill, once I complete that I will make a copy in AAC, dump them on iTunes or Musicbee (most likely Musicbee) and that will be my everyday music while the FLAC library will be the backup.

Baseball Cards

I’m currently at the point where I hate those little cardboard pictures but I am still sorting through baseball. Hopefully I can finish that this weekend. Also I’ve decided to not catalog baseball because it takes way too long (1 month to do football, and baseball is at least twice the size), and I’m burned out. I want the cards in the box, get an accurate count of how much I have and call it day and move onto another project.

Chris Orders Fast Food

Ok so I finally did it and ordered fast food. It all started with pizza. I may have mentioned it last week but I ordered pizza and it was good. Next while getting some medications for a family member I stopped by McDonalds and had a burger after almost two months. It was good, and finally to celebrate Mother’s Day…and WWE’s Money In The Bank PPV I ordered wings from WingStop.

Pickups!

Games

PS4 - Lego Ninjago. It’s free so why not? Also it’s free on X-Box if you want to give it a spin. I’ll play it on a non glitched version *stares at Switch version*

Music

I ordered six SIX! CDs over the past week. Yeah crazy but most of them are CDs I want but could never find (remember when I said I’d rather find them in the wild? Yeah the wild is closed so Mr. eBay/Amazon it is). Anyways the first one arrived earlier this week:

Jhene Aiko - Chilombo. It was brand new and still sealed for a whopping $4.44.

I have at least one being delivered today, but I’m hopng the other one says it’s currently sitting in the Post Office also makes it onto the delivery truck.

Alright Pixlpeeps I am off to eat breakfast. I have Fried Chicken…I should make some waffles to go with it. Hmmmmmm….anyways have a good weekend and WASH YOUR HANDS!

That’s all for now, more later!

-Chris

I ordered food yesterday and I probably will today too. I'm telling myself I get this weekend after turning grades in to be on my bullshit, but will try to form better habits starting Monday. We shall see. Not to imply that you are "on bullshit," cause you have obviously not been ordering food up until now, whereas I ... I need to stop. lol

Here's my review of the LEGO NInjago movie video game.  When I reviewed it, they sent me movie tickets so I could see the movie as well!

I loved that Lego Ninjago game. I played it on Game Pass and got all the achievements.

I like that 1930s LA setting too. Chinatown is an amazing movie. I'd like to write a story about that time period myself.
