I traded in the last of what I wanted to trade to Gamestop today, and just like last week, the salesman referred me to a retro store for selling the rest of my stuff. This was another one I didn't know (or forgot) about, Game N DVD Exchange in Media, Pa, a short drive from where I live. I went there and traded the rest of my stuff for store credit. I got pretty good value, I thought. Here's a video of some YouTubers who went there.
I had the store save my credit because they didn't have the two things on my mind, Commandos 2 for original Xbox and Dragon Warrior/Quest IV for NES or DS.
I noticed they had a loose cart of Conker's Bad Fur Day for $160. I didn't know that game was rare. I used to own that.
I am going to return tomorrow with a list. I don't want that credit to sit around too long. It was just scribbled on a business card and who knows, if I let it go for a long time, whether it will be honored.
Oh, and I got really good credit at Gamestop. I was going to use it for something but it was more than I expected, so I saved it on a card for a future console purchase, maybe.
I commend you on pulling the trigger and letting stuff go. I have a hard time imagining myself being able to do that. Hope you get some good stuff!
I got some good stuff today, Final Fantasy Tactics (PS1), Fire Emblem Echoes (3DS) and Pinball Hall of Fame Gottlieb Collection (PS2).
I just have to cut down my collection. I will probably be moving next summer and I don't want to carry a lot of boxes around.
