My gaming dance card is filled up at least until next summer, when Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom launches.
End of this month is Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero. Glad we're finally getting regular releases of Falcom games after all these years.
Next month is Bayonetta 3. I actually managed to score a collectors' edition this time after missing out on Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
Persona 5 Royal and Tactics Ogre Reborn in November.
Fire Emblem Engage in January, just in time for my birthday.
Tales of Symphonia Remastered sometime early next year.
They even got Nintendo, Microsoft, and the Broccoli family on the same page long enough to get Goldeneye on NSO and Game Pass. Surprisingly, the only version that's going to have online play is the Switch version rather than the Xbox version.
The Broccoli family?
They basically own the movie rights to the James Bond IP. Eon Productions was founded by Albert "Cubby" Broccoli and is managed by his daughter Barbara.
Nice. I'm happy with Splatoon 3 right now and am excited for Bayonetta, Sonic, Mario+Rabbids, Callisto Protocol, and especially Pokemon to round out the year. Not sure what the release schedule is like next year but I'm stoked for Zelda and Starfield.
Mario + Rabbids 2 for me too next month.
Fire Emblem Engage in January. Oh good. I watched the trailer the other day and it just said 2023.
Don't know much what's coming out anytime soon, that I'm interested in. I was interested in Callisto Protocol, but the footage I've seen looks bland, inferior to Dead Space. I guess System Shock remake will fulfill my space horror desires instead. Tactics Ogre re-release when? Wo Long, Black Myth, Skald: Against the Black Priory and others I'm looking forward to are not coming out anytime soon.
And how come no one is talking about the new Valkyrie Profile game coming out?
Tactics Ogre releases 11/11.
Definitely looking at Valkyrie Elysium. My only misgiving is that it's a full action RPG game. Einherjar are AI controlled. Still interested and will likely pick it up. We haven't gotten a new VP game in forever.
The original game is getting ported to the PlayStation family at the end of this month, so I'm definitely down for that. It does conflict with The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero, sadly.
Yeah that latest Nintendo Direct was great if you like RPGs and farm sims.
At least we're getting a new Final Fantasy Theatrhythm game out of it.
I'm surprised more people aren't talking about that Fist of the North Star boxing game. That seemed like the weirdest thing to me.
I'm getting a little tired of ports and remakes on the Switch, but I SUPPOSE I'll get Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe. Although I wish they'd port the 3DS games: Triple Deluxe and Planet Robobot instead.
I guess the new Zelda game has a subtitle now. But it is 'Tears" like crying tears or "Tears" like paper tears? They really don't say.
I don't mind the ports so much. It's getting older games into current ecosystems, and that's a good thing. Plus, I like RPGs and enjoy the occasional farming sim. Totally didn't see farming becoming the next hot thing in gaming. So that Nintendo Direct hit the spot.
The new Zelda games is "Tears of the Kingdom" in the former sense. That's part of the reason why Nintendo UK delayed its presentation, in light of the death of Queen Elizabeth.
