Good Evening everyone,
After playing some Doom + Doom II tonight I can't help but recall what came after it with Doom Eternal and all that game entailed. In Doom II we only got a brief story on how the demons came to earth and brought hell to it but in Doom Eternal we got to see the full effect of Hell's armies as it ravaged the planet. We do get to see what's left of humanity and their attempts to hold off the invaders until "The Doom Slayer" arrives on the scene yet we obviously don't get a complete breakdown of how Hell's invasion came to be.
The Dark Somnium is not stranger when it comes to me sharing his YouTube channel and the stories he narrates during prior Octoberween Video Weekends. I don't recall if I shared this one before but tonight I had to share given how well it was done. This particular series written by Woundlicker captivated me cause it tells in vivid detail on the scenario of what would happen if Hell invaded our mortal plane. From Earth's Final War to a "what if" scenario if Hitler dabbled in things he shouldn't have and done more than just "Plan Z", these tales bring a new level of the horrors of war.
I'm also going to add a link to additional stories by Woundlicker, narrated by The Dark Somnium, in case you are curious and want to hear more that are not focused on Hell's Invasion of Earth since there is a nice playlist available for your listening pleasure.

I remember reading ths Doom II backstory in the manual. It's neat that Doom Eternal let us see how the actual war played out.
I have paid very little attention to the story of Doom over the years. A good vid like this might just get me interested in it.
